This version of KIZILEMA is high-subsonic. Its cruise speed is 0.6Mach and the max speed is 0.9 Mach. It uses AI-25TLT engine(3.800 lbf dry thrust). The next version will use AI-322F engine. It has 5.500 lbf dry and 10.000 lbf wet thrust. And the third version will use two of these engines. When I look at this first flight, it seems underpowered. The drone is almost as big as F16. When TEI TF6000 is ready, we expect that it will power KIZILELMA.

KIZILELMA will enter serial production at the end of 2023.

Additional info; The three versions of KIZILELMA were being developed in parallel. So I expect the next configurations to fly from 2024 onwards. Maybe even earlier. Who knows..

The missile is originally a guided surface to surface missile. The test today was the first time it's launched from an aerial platform. Laser guided version has accuracy of CEP lower than 2m.



The TRG-230 is a guided surface-to-surface missile of 230-mm diameter designed and manufactured by Turkish company Roketsan. TRG-230 missiles have a range of 20 km to 70 km and are launched from 230-mm rocket tubes. The TRLG-230 variant has laser guidance and its range has been extended to 150 km.

ASELSAN's CEO gave an interview a few days ago and these are the points I compiled from the conversation. The blue text is from me.

- Total export countries reached 80.
- CATS(EOTS) cameras exported to ten countries on BAYKAR drones.
- Last month we produced 15 CATS, this month same number, in January we'll be producing 20 CATS a month.
- Better version of CATS(F500C) will start testing in the first months of 2023.
- The design and developments for integrated EOTS for TFX and KIZILELMA continues.
- About 20 ASELPOD(Advanced Targeting Pod Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System) has been delivered so far. Second gen ASELPOD also being developed.
- There will be a total of 100 CATS delivered this year.
- To date we produced 35 different radar systems. There are 29 different radar systems in development right now(these radars' deliveries will start next year). And there are 12 different new-concept radar developments, like quantum radars..
- We have produced radars in bands of VHF, UHF, S, L, C, X, Ku, Ka and even W band.
- This year we have delivered 13 different radar systems. Some of these are, ACAR(Ground Surveillance Radar) radar, Air Traffic Control Radar, EIRS(Early Warning Radar) , TEIRS(Mobile Early Warning Radar) , KALKAN(Mid Altitude AD Radar), FOPRAD(Foliage Penetration Radar) radar, MAR(Mobile 3d Search Radar) , STR(Weapon Detection Radar) and radar based seekers we have developed for missiles.
- First aerial AESA will be delivered for AKINCI in less than a month.
- We're developing a fully automated, Lights-Out factory for radar production.
- KORKUT(Low Altitude AD) is exported to several countries. Demand is very strong for KORKUT.
- We're working with about 5.000 companies.
- 648 products have been nationalized in the last three years.
- The companies that are working with ASELSAN are not asked to provide a "letter of guarantee" when they receive loans from banks, and they're treated favorably.
- 20 electric buses were delivered to SAMSUN municipality and it was reported that on some lines the cost of operation was measured eight times less than a conventional bus, and on some other lines it was ten times less. and they'll amortize themselves in three years.
- The average of age of ASELSAN's employees is 34.
- In the last year there were 1500 interns at ASELSAN.

Never thought of turkey would be in so advanced stage in radar development
