so called "freedom fighter"
FSA are terrorists.

Check the western news reels of the 80's and 90's to see similarity between western backed terrorists in afghanistan then and in syria now.

The rebels have refused to talk since the beginning of the insurgency. What is the point of inviting them? They are probably not going to talk as per instructions form Turkey and the Arab al-Wahhab confederate. Russia knows that very well. They are inviting them for talk only to make their diplomatic stance stronger. The rebels will have less excuses now onwards.

We will be paid back allright, oil and arms deals in the works.
Haha just you wait.

French kinda of playing catch game after reluctancy shown during Iraq war 2003 btw let's see how much contract you win to marginalise Russia will not be cakewalk.

Oh by the way the cynical support of radicals all boils down to more contract and not promotion of democratic values as French officials claim.

How much contract Russia wins in Libya? Like none... once Assad falls the new regime in Syria won't even talk to them so I am not worried about marginalising Russia. That is a forgone conclusion that the rebels hate them and China won't be getting in on it either.

It is pretty clear this regime has to go considering he is willing to massacre his people to stay in power.

Do you really believe that or is it the usual French colonial hangover complex?

Yes tell me that France carry more clout than Russia and China and that ignoring these 2 countries is possible for Syrians.

Note that these double standard of supporting radical islamists will boomerang on you sooner or later, just be cautious that those living in your suburbs don't get a taste of jihad and return back to France.

As Putin rightly said Assad visited Paris more than Moscow.

Just like the terrorist that the west is supporting they are also willing to kill scores of people to get into power.

So talking about morality or democracy is certainly not fitting :p

How cynical it sounds - a PROFIT. There the second year of the killed people, for the sake of selfish interests of certain business groups, which have already counted their income « playing on the bones».

Using Libya as an example, it is fact.

Yes tell me that France carry more clout than Russia and China and that ignoring these 2 countries is possible for Syrians.
France does carry more clout because we were the first to recognize their government instead of blocking UN resolutions that would prevent the massacre of the Syrian population. Everything Russia offers, France does it better. China is a non-factor.

Note that these double standard of supporting radical islamists will boomerang on you sooner or later, just be cautious that those living in your suburbs don't get a taste of jihad and return back to France.
I hope they do, then we can deport them all.

As Putin rightly said Assad visited Paris more than Moscow.
And Putin visits Paris more than Syria. He is another client.

Just like the terrorist that the west is supporting they are also willing to kill scores of people to get into power.

Most of their targets are military, even shooting at Syrian Airlines is legit as they are using it to transport military supplies and Iranian agents. Assad targets civilians.

What did you exactly get from Libya its yet to have a functioning govt?

France itself is struggling to save its post colonial clout in Africa and you are talking about world, get facts not blind patriotism.

gone are the days of France-Afrique.

I hope they do, then we can deport them all.
You know this will not happen :p

They will breed like rabbits and continue calling white people as "sous-chien"

And Putin visits Paris more than Syria. He is another client.
I agree its better than visiting Hollande

So now you are justifying the shooting of civilian airliners.
Cozying up with UAE, KSA will not be conducive for dampening islamic jihad instead its like pouring oil over fire.

Syria government forces retake Homs district

Syrian government forces have pushed rebel forces out of the Deir Baalbeh district of the city of Homs after several days of fierce fighting.

One activist group said that more than 200 civilians were killed by regime forces after the fighting, but the claim cannot be independently verified.

Lets see, sale of dozens of fighters including Rafale, helicopters and other militaria. Massive infrastructure spending. Prefered bidder status on all oil contracts and a possible EPR nuclear plant.

France itself is struggling to save its post colonial clout in Africa and you are talking about world, get facts not blind patriotism.
It wasn't struggling under Sarko. He kicked some ass.

gone are the days of France-Afrique.
Not really, we reclaimed Cote d'Ivoir, gained new ground making Libya a client state and now we will regain ties with our old Syrian colony.

You know this will not happen :p
If they start acting up it will. Lets hope they don't play it that smart.

I agree its better than visiting Hollande
I don't even recall Putin visiting Syria. He is in France a couple times a year.

So now you are justifying the shooting of civilian airliners.
It isn't civilian when used for military purposes. Turkey already proved that.

You were selling Rafale back then to Gaddafi..

Its all intention not firm commitment and by the way France should be wary of the Brits and Yankees who usually beat in arm twisting :)

By the way Areva has not signed single contract for nuclear power plants.

It wasn't struggling under Sarko. He kicked some ass.
Sarko is no longer here and its not that he returned the France-Afrique heydays when he was in power.

China is already a key player in this region surpassing by far French.

Ivory Coast you joking fighting for what Cocoa plantations.

Its not even reclaim at best intel services might have played a role in getting Laurent out.

No your country will not do that its easy to play with white men guilt. (check your channels canal plus and the other leftist crap)

They are already blocking streets and praying there, there are no go zone for police in suburbs and most importantly your country instead of continuing forward is having to fight medieval people who perform excision, polygamy, veiling women etc.

Putin in France just like Sarko in Russia.

He has a naval presence there in Tartus unlike France.

It isn't civilian when used for military purposes. Turkey already proved that.
How do you know?

Do you trust Erdogan the megalomaniac who wants the Ottoman empire back.

Anyway France supporting Terrorist and then taunting people about liberty, fraternity and equality is complete bollocks.

Russia sends landing ships to Syria

A Russian warship carrying a marines unit has left its Black Sea port for Syria amid preparations for a possible evacuation of nationals living and working in the strife-torn country, news reports said Sunday

The Novocherkassk landing ship is the third such craft despatched since Friday to the Tartus port that Russia leases from its last Middle East ally, agencies cited an unnamed official in the general staff as saying.

The reports said the Azov and Nikolai Filchenkov landing ships had also been sent to Syria from their Russian bases.

The military source said the Novocherkassk would arrive at Tartus within the first 10 days of January.

The Novocherkassk and another landing ship called Saratov both made a rare port call to Tartus in late November.

Officials did not disclose the details of that visit.

The Tartus base is Russia's only remaining naval station outside the former Soviet Union and is seen as a major strategic asset for Moscow.

Russia has been accused of using the base to supply Syrian President Bashar al-Assad with secret military shipments supplementing the official weapons sales that Moscow has made to Damascus since Soviet times.

But recent rebel gains prompted Russia to admit for the first time this month that Assad's days in power may be numbered.

Officials have since openly acknowledged making preparations for a possible evacuation should the safety of Russians in Syria be threatened by Assad's downfall.

The three landing ships will be joining what Russian reports said was a much broader exercise off the coast of Syria involving vessels from three naval fleets.

Gaddafi promised much, but delivered little.

US and UK didn't arm twist there way to MMRCA victory.

btw Areva has signed 3 power transmission contracts already. They need rebuilt infrastructure before they get nuke plants.

Sarko is no longer here and its not that he returned the France-Afrique heydays when he was in power.

China is already a key player in this region surpassing by far French.
Sarko restored France as the preeminent power in Europe and Africa. Libya and Cote d'Ivore showed how much power China has = ZILCH. They could do nothing to stop our ouster of their puppets. 50,000 Chinese are sent back home unemployed and tens of billions of investment lost. Gbagbo's Chinese built palace was leveled by French missiles as a testament to their weakness.

Ivory Coast you joking fighting for what Cocoa plantations.
IC provides half of the world's cocoa. It is an important commodity as its products are a $200 billion industry.

Its not even reclaim at best intel services might have played a role in getting Laurent out.
Nah, it was French forces bombing him and surrounding his palace that got him out.

We will keep passing more laws against them, if that doesn't get them to leave we will deport more than we do now.

Putin in France just like Sarko in Russia.

He won't have any presence there now, he is ordering the evacuation of all Russian nationals. France is quite active in the region with a brigade in Lebanon training rebels, agents throughout the country and CdG off the coast.

How do you know?

Do you trust Erdogan the megalomaniac who wants the Ottoman empire back.
I have no evidence or reason to believe he lied.

Anyway France supporting Terrorist and then taunting people about liberty, fraternity and equality is complete bollocks.
What?!? France doesn't support Assad. Anyone supporting that butcher is the terrorist lover.
