no contract to buy any russian weapons was signed......different framework aggrement kinds of entertainning things about su-35 have been being signed annuely and regularly since around 2000.....just cant see any su-35 flying in prc.....probably apart from zhuhai airshow promotion........

They are denying means the deal is signed. This is no flash. Conversations were on since 2010.

Media skulduggery. It was the same when the French President came to India. There were news reports that the Rafale deal will be signed.

Best to simply wait for the actual contract to be signed.

sure....at least 1 of the framwork deals was signed at the end of 2012......well before xis viste to moscow in 2013.....

but framework deal really doesnt mean a shit otherwise why there is no su35 flying??? these kinds of deals were getting signed since around 2000 (at least before 2005)......

Amur is offered to India. Russia knows how much importance India has attached to next generation submarines. Giving out the same to China will be seen as deliberate unfriendly behavior to India.

Anyway even Indian contracts go unnoticed or remain classified until the final contract is signed. For eg, we had no idea we had signed a contract with Russia in 2008 for PAKFA before the 2010 contract.

Pretty much every thing that we have bought today was either on the drawing board at the time or brand new with no track record. Rafale is the first aircraft we are buying that has a track record. Before that, pretty much all aircraft were new aircraft.

Kilos were untested platform when negotiations were taking place. OTOH, Scorpenes were not purchased by the captive market in France.

Russia has 2 duds in p75 & they won't even matter now.

Okay, but this is the navy's decision. I merely believe all the subs are of similar level without any major advantages or disadvantages. So this basically comes down to costs, industrial production and ToT. Regardless, we are years away from seeing anything happening on the subs front.

Mayavi is being developed with Israeli help and is meant for LCA.

This is just among many projects today. Actually we are having the only project of this kind in the world where we are planning on equipping all our aircraft with internal EW suites, active and passive.

MKI has its own project for ESM called Eagle Eye. Mig-29 and Mig-27s are getting AESA upgrades for EW with help from Elettronica. Even Jaguars may have their own program once DARIN III upgrade starts. Meaning we are currently using Elettronica's AESA modules for current needs and are already indigenizing the stuff, along with making new stuff.

However pictures do indicate the Mig-29UPG has the Virgilius AESA suite.

A lot of our current projects are still confidential. So we will have to wait for pictures to come in.
