Not fury duck but Hell duck for Sure. Look at the front of this Aircraft and you will come to know why I am calling it that way. It looks just like a Duck or more precisely like a "Platypus from my side to be honest". Just look at its front and you will come to know what I mean.Fury duck.
SU-30 MKI can carry a maximum payload of 8000 kgs (8 tons) and SU-34 can reportedly between 8000 kgs and 12000 kgs. So SU-34 Carries 50 Percent more payload as compared to the MKI.I am strictly against IAF buying anymore Russian aircraft and SU 34 is included in that. We need Multi role fighters not Ground attack aircraft . SU 30MKI can carry the same amount of payload that a SU 34 can.
bruh , even after the prevailing situation you're in favour of IAF purchasing SU 34s ?SU-30 MKI can carry a maximum payload of 8000 kgs (8 tons) and SU-34 can reportedly between 8000 kgs and 12000 kgs. So SU-34 Carries 50 Percent more payload as compared to the MKI.
Also SU-34 along with ground attacks can also be used in Air-To-Air role as it can use missiles like R-73 and R-27 but in a very limited way because it can't field lots of Air to Air missiles.
I am not saying that IAF should buy SU-34 at this point nor am I in favour of it anymore.bruh , even after the prevailing situation you're in favour of IAF purchasing SU 34s ?
8 and 12 tons for either of the fighters isn't it ? I bet a SU 30 with modifications can carry the same amount of payload as the SU 34 or atleast it will be close enough.I am not saying that IAF should buy SU-34 at this point nor am I in favour of it anymore.
What I was saying above was that you were wrong that SU-30 MKI can carry the same payload as that of the SU-34.
It doesn't matter how much you Upgrade the SU-30 MKI but unless you install some higher Thrust Engines in it, you won't be able to bring it close to the Payload capacity of a Full-fledged Fighter Bomber like SU-34.8 and 12 tons for either of the fighters isn't it ? I bet a SU 30 with modifications can carry the same amount of payload as the SU 34 or atleast it will be close enough.
Su-34 uses Saturn AL-31FM1 engine, which is literally the same one used on Su-27Sm and Su-30It doesn't matter how much you Upgrade the SU-30 MKI but unless you install some higher Thrust Engines in it, you won't be able to bring it close to the Payload capacity of a Full-fledged Fighter Bomber like SU-34.
SU-30 MKI was never designed as a fighter bomber even though it does have Capability to function as one. SU-34 will always have more payload Capacity.
We are not talking about any Variant of SU-30 here, we are talking Specifically about the SU-30 MKI.Su-34 uses Saturn AL-31FM1 engine, which is literally the same one used on Su-27Sm and Su-30
Even their reference wing area are practically the same which is around 62 m2
Practically speaking, Su-34 vs Su-30 is somewhat similar to F-15E vs F-15C

Yeah, if we compare su-30MKI to Su-34 then Su-34 can carry moreWe are not talking about any Variant of SU-30 here, we are talking Specifically about the SU-30 MKI.
SU-30 MKI uses two Lyulka-Saturn AL-31FP turbofans, each rated at 12,500 kgf (27,550 lbf) of full after-burning thrust, which enable speeds of up to Mach 2 in horizontal flight and a rate of climb of 230 m/s.
SU-34 on the other hand uses AL-31 FM1 giving the SU-34 a maximum speed of Mach 2.2+.
So hence SU-34 is still Superior to the MKI any day in terms of maximum weight Carrying capacity.
Is SU-34 classified as a Flanker? As far as I know, only planes like SU-30 (i.e SU-30 MKI, SU-30 MKM etc) SU-35, SU-27 etc classify as Flankers.Yeah, if we compare su-30MKI to Su-34 then Su-34 can carry more
Though i need to add that Su-34 top speed is around Mach 1.8 actually. It is slower than other Flankers due to draggier airframe.
Nevertheless, the engine itself doesn't affect the top speed of fighter that much because for most fighters today, their top speed is limited by inlet pressure recovery.
