@Neil David Dsouza Kindly keep discussions relevant. SU34 has no bearing on India, there has been no attempt to purchase it and it does not seem to be a prospect in the future. Neither does it affect the strategic balance between countries across the world drastically.

Discussion about this is unlikely to be extensive, beyond sporadic pictures or few doubts. Those can be accommodated elsewhere, this will just clutter the forum.....

The Sukhoi SU-34:
maxresdefault-8.jpg

Introduction:
The Sukhoi Su-34 is a Soviet-origin Russian twin-engine, twin-seat, all-weather supersonic medium-range fighter-bomber/strike aircraft.
The Aircraft had made its First maiden flight on 13 April in the year 1990. The Aircraft was intended for the Soviet Air Forces and after the Dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Aircraft entered service in the Russian Air Force in the Year 2014. NATO Called the SU-34 fighter-bomber the "Fullback".

Su-34 is designed primarily for roles like 1)tactical deployment against ground and naval targets (tactical bombing/attack/interdiction roles, including against small and mobile targets) on solo and group missions in daytime and at night, under favourable and adverse weather conditions and in a hostile environment with counter-fire and electronic warfare (EW) counter-measures deployed, as well as for aerial reconnaissance. The SU-34 has places for two khibiny Jammer pods on its wing tips.

It's been said by many that The SU-34 will replace the SU-24 and TU-22M3 (don't know how True this is though)
As of 2021 ,the Sole Operator of The SU-34 is Russia but a deal for 14 SU-34 fighter-bomber Aircrafts has been signed with Algeria for Algerian Airforce.

A dream that probably wouldn't come true, but a dream nonetheless...
Su 34 is a excellent platform for standoff naval strike missions. With sufficient numbers it can create graveyard out of bay of bengal for enemy ships.
But India does not need this. with super sukhoi upgrade and newer reinforced undercarriage MKI can do the same as SU 34 or better in most cases.

That's right but seeing all those MKIs being stretched beyond their capacity for all bomb truck missions is too much, let us at least have about 2-3 squadrons of dedicated bombers for that role, and since Su-34 is similar platform it would be easy transition too, i guess.

I wonder how many Brahmos AF version or Nirbhay we could load under Su-34MKI lol
