Some members said let us fit it with Indian hardware, and some claimed J-10 is a great threat to Su-30MKI.
In terms of Radar I am sure Su-30MKI has advantages over early J-10As, however latest variants might be able to erode this advantage if Su-30MKI does not have an upgrade in radar.
In my opinion as Russia is doing you just need to change the engine from Russia and add avionics and radar from India.
J-11s/Su-27SM, J-15/Su-33 clearly have inferior airframes to Su-30MKI.
even J-16 has an inferior airframe.
Su-30MKI in my personal opinion should follow a Su-30MS, making it like Su-35S is not possible or practical I mean delete the canards and second cockpit.

In the Flanker family the best variant is Su-35, later Su-30MKI/Su-30MS, and later latest upgrades of Su-27s or early SU-30s and its Chinese clones, the less capable variant is Su-33/J-15 and last Su-34What is the evidence
