Seems that IDF prefers old frankenstein M-16 A1 variants over the Tavor series.Its a surprise that they don't import fully kitted M-4s but buys conversion kits for older M-16A1s.

relax, you are overreacting,
first it's AGS-17 not AGS-30; both look different

and just for reference, Russians also have a newer automatic grenade launcher that fire elongated 40mm caseless grenade ammo forked from those 40mm caseless grenades they use in GP-25, GP-30 etc called
AGS-40

thing with AGS-17 is it's quite smokey launcher owning to its open bolt design, of blowback type (of some flavour but i think it's lever delayed instead of simpler direct blowback one but either is possible here) and when firing it fumes spread around everywhere - 'specially from its ejection port;
so this suppressor is probably more or less acting as "fume extractor" that we see on barrel of battle tanks than some actual sound suppressor, i believe
