As far as good design is concerned TAR is a copy of Arsenal AKs.

When it comes to quality it's not as polished as a Bulgarian one. May be the new batches are better. Even then they are being sold and used by other defense forces.

Infact AK 203 is being built by OFB and not imported directly like we did with Sig or our older Aks for army. So I just don't get what's the objection now.

Nothing shameless, it was done solely to show AUKAAT to the FN belgians who wanted to appoint belgian staff in our ordnance factories and consider our technician and people 'not worthy' of running it; apart from asking for much premium price for a rifle;
so we just shown them middle finger by copying British L1A1 version

consider it part of revenge served cold. Gigachad move.

i wish we copy all other firearms here giving complete F U to Heckler and Koch, FN, Czechs and Ruusis and all, just become full Norinco.

I would never dare to appendix carry an Indian made hammer fired pistol , I just can't trust these builds and I value my balls a lot more than that

It wasn't just British L1A1 (imperial measurements pattern) but also Australian 1A1 (metric pattern). So our 1A1 is a unique variant incompatible with others.

Moreover the Belgians were heavily compensated in th Fn MAG deal so they didn't go for international litigation.

1887; we got our first handgun, Webley revolver chambered in .455
1941; we got our first SMG, Sten Gun chambered in 9mm
1944; Sten was replaced by (currently active) Sterling chambered in 9mm
1954; Webley was replaced by (currently active) Hi-Power chambered in 9mm

So our armed forces have never quite adopted .45 ACP on a large scale, so it's not a Prohibited Bore
