There is no denial that Tonbo's this sight is much better than cold war era sights from OFB; but sadly OFB ones are the only that are physically present as of now.

I don't really care about new desi 4x sights authorized for IA if the sights are rugged, reliable, hassle free, require lesser zero adjustments than western tacticool optics. If it helps our soldiers hit a target accurately beyond 400 mtrs, it's jolly fine by me.

welp they are using SR-25 pattern mags with this new AR-ish lower receiver but aren't inducting BHO feature ?! also look at that ridiculous buttstock...
also charging handle is made ;ambi; here (cocking handle can be put on other side after disassembling it//armourer level mod ?) as one can see the long slot on right side...
seems like it's in prototype stage as of now, we might witness some more changes in future

Yeah definitely their presentation is much better than ours.

It's still in prototype phase. They plan to use a polymer lower (something they have been fond of after their experience with CZ Brens) instead of this crude aluminium one. So in future we might see a BHO, and perhaps an ambidextrous one.

You're right about the charging handle, it seems you can swap that with a dust cover after removing the bolt carrier.

And as long as the weird stock is concerned; it's quite good, given the fact that they shamelessly ripped this concept from one of the best aftermarket G3 company; Spuhr.
Spuhr also uses this combination of stock where the cheek rest is fixed to the stock and the buttstock slides.

But perhaps the most fascinating thing about this contraption is that G3 is a roller-delayed blowback gun; you can completely free float the barrel. Something that even the most accurate DI guns can't do; only bolt actions can.

That buttstock looks horrible and the charging handle is being warped to be ambidextrous.

As @Lonewarrior bhai said it is inspired from Spuhr's buttstock for G-3 and original one looks like this

but even here gap between height of cheek piece at rest and iron sight base (or top of the rifle) still exist a bit so a shooter can comfirtabely put his face down on cheek piece and still aim well, the one that's on porkie one is at same height as top of the rifle so am not sure how comfirtable it would be to steady your head on it etc...probably folding sight is a little bit taller when in use than standard G-3 iron sights ?

as of now it seems like they got an aftermarket AR pattern adjustable length buttstock and just added a cheek piece on top of that to get this jugaadu Spuhr-like buttstock or something...
