Mr. Sayare, actually, INSAS already has a single slot Picatinny Rail.

View attachment 4221
The Picatinny rail ( /ˈpɪkətɪni/ or /ˌpɪkəˈtɪni/) or MIL-STD-1913 rail or STANAG 2324 rail or a "Tactical Rail" is a bracket used on some firearms in order to provide a standardized mounting platform. A similar system is the Weaver rail mount.
as per wiki Picatinny rail - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

this will end up something like this

this is what is on INSAS

these pics are from my personal collection this is night vision for the INSAS

you can see the attachment for the INSAS rail.

from the above you can image, how much research i have done about INSAS.

Trijicon guys have hard time fitting INSAS rail on their sight, here is the ACOG scope they talked about, with problem.

By slot, I meant those grooves. INSAS comes with a single groove. If Trijicon had a problem fitting their wares onto the INSAS, either RFI did not manufacture those rails with accurate dimensions or it was the Trijicon guys. My point was INSAS already comes with a Picatinny Rail. Personally, I don't care whether my rail has one groove or 25 grooves. I am not going to use all of them.

@pmaitra problem is that IA cannot use red dot sights, thermal, holographics, laser, torch and even magnifiers made by international manufactures, as they are making this as per standard P rail. But if you see the latest RFI by IA they are asking for Prail mili standards.

each maker who have tried to do this on INSAS rail has some problems

only the one made by OFB and BEL has find place in IA, but use of the same is very less.

SAYA, its sure thing, foldable butt all black (but in two tone) INSAS is now standard with RPF. Traveled a lot in last ten days and almost every time i saw a RPF guy, i saw foldable butt all black INSAS with one or two. Alas! still no pictures.
