NEW DELHI: The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an infilration bid along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir's Arnia sector on Monday.
One intruder was shot down while attempting to infiltrate into the Indian side.
The incident occurred at about 3:40pm when a group of terrorists reached close to the IB fence and "engaged" BSF troops at an observation post.
""During the cross-fire, one of the intruders climbed over the fence and jumped towards the Indian side. Alert BSF troops shot the intruder instantly while simultaneously replying to the firing from the Pakistan side," a BSF spokesperson said.
Intermittent exchange of fire is currently underway between security forces and the terrorists.

Damn, another stick and chocolate trick by China. Opposing to india's terror concerns and accepting it in BRICS only on paper to smoothen the demands of India and bring then on path towards OBOR.
Or at least to show other members there is no problem between both countries. Or to portrait that China did not accept the point by India's pressure rather it was done by China's own will. So that China does not bend to India's demand a but still satisfy india.
Objective achieved.
Or may be some small "this for that" objectives mutually achieved by both countries, as modi also positively speaking in BRICS.

Encounter underway between Indian Army and NSCN(K) along Indo-Myanmar border

Special forces of the Indian Army conducted an operation against NSCN (K) in Longding district along the Indo-Myanmar border in Arunachal Pradesh. An NSCN(K) cadre has been killed in the encounter and one Army personnel injured. The Army has recovered an AK-56, a radio set, and a hand grenade, along with live bullets. A combing operation is underway. Speaking to the media this afternoon, after a meeting with MoS Home Kiren Rijiju, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said it was a routine operation. “It’s a normal, routine operation. Such operations happen everyday. There’s nothing big about them.” The operation took place around 7.30 am, news agency ANI reported. In a tweet this noon, Indian Army’s Eastern Command said: “Dao Div neutralised Honcham Wangsa, self styled Corporal of NSCN-K near Kunsa Vill, Arunachal Pradesh.” More details are awaited.

Two militants killed in encounter during search operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla region

Two militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Sopore township of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district today, the police said. Acting on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in Check-e-Brath area of Sopore, security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) there, a police official said. He said the identity and group affiliation of the slain militants is being ascertained.A gunfight between the security forces and militants had started on Monday during the cordon and search operation. The security forces receiving information about the presence of militants in Shankar Gund area on the outskirts of Sopore town were preparing to cordon off and search the place when the incident occurred, police said. “As the cordon was tightened, the militants started firing triggering the encounter,” a police officer said. The operation is still on. Earlier yesterday, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing of small and heavy arms in Amrodin, Chatkadi and Sadipora in Karnah of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Before this, Pakistan violated ceasefire in the Krishna Ghati sector of Jammu and Kashmir along the Line of Control (LoC). The Pakistan Army also violated ceasefire in the Mankot sector area along the LoC of Poonch on Sunday.
