19-year-old boy martyred in unprovoked Indian firing along LoC

RAWALPINDI – Indian forces on Friday martyred an innocent civilian during unprovoked cross-border firing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

According to the ISPR, the deceased identified as 19-year-old Inzamam Ameen, who was working at a crush plant at Poonch river bank in Titri when he was martyred by the Indian troops.

Pakistan Army, in retaliatory fire, targetted an Indian post, the statement added.

On Feb 19, the Indian forces in unprovoked ceasefire violations along the LOC in Khuiratta Sector, Jijot Bahadar village, martyred Ayan Zahid, an 8 years old boy.

In a tit-for-tat action, Pakistan Army on Monday destroyed an Indian army post across the Line of Control and killed two soldiers hours after a Pakistani minor boy lost his life.

On Feb 15, the Indian occupation forces also deliberately targeted a school van leaving the children severely traumatized and martyring the driver. The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation.

According to FO, despite calls for restraint, India continues to indulge in ceasefire violations. It said, “In 2018, the Indian forces have carried out more than 335 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting in the shahadat of 15 innocent civilians and injuries to 65 others”.

In retaliatory fire, Indian Army decimates Pakistani post along the Line of Control

Srinagar: Even as the top Army and government leadership talk about making Pakistan pay for its misadventures, the forces on the ground are already giving it back to the rogue neighbour. Times Now has accessed a video that shows a Pakistani post being decimated along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The retaliatory action was taken from north Kashmir's Uri, following continuous provocation by Pakistan.

Pakistani troops have been incessantly firing from across the border, targeting Army installations as well as civilians. The ceasefire agreement is being regularly violated by Pakistan along the LoC, with attempts also being made to infiltrate terrorists under the cover of fire.

Three major recent incidents in Jammu and Kashmir – the terror attack on the Sunjuwan Army camp in Jammu, the failed bid to attack a CRPF camp in Srinagar and the attack on the police team outside a Srinagar hospital to free a Pakistani terrorist – have triggered a spate of warnings from the Indian side. Rattled, Pakistan has warned India against any move to conduct surgical strikes, like the one that followed the Uri terror attack in 2016.

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat has warned that Pakistan will pay “sooner rather than later” for the recent terrorist attack on the Army camp at Sunjuwan. In the suicide attack at the Sunjuwan military station in Jammu earlier this month, six soldiers were killed while a civilian, the father of one of the soldiers, lost his life. The suicide attack was carried out by Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists - three terrorists were also gunned down in the attack. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who had surveyed the camp after the attack, had stated that Pakistan would pay for its “misadventure”.

Speaking to the Hindustan Times, the Army Chief said the force would give a befitting reply to Pakistan for the Sunjuwan attack and that several options, including surgical strikes, were on the table. He, however, revealed no further details.

Sitharaman had warned after visiting the Sunjuwan camp that Pakistan was trying to expand its "arc of terror" from Kashmir to Jammu region. She said Pakistan was assisting infiltration of terrorists into India by violating ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC). "Pakistan is expanding the arc of terror to the areas south of Pir Panjal Range (Jammu region) and resorting to ceasefire violations to assist infiltration. These are being responded to appropriately," Sitharaman had told reporters.

She had further said that the terrorists, who carried out the attack at the Sunjuwan camp, were Pakistanis and warned that Islamabad will pay a price for the terror attack. "Pakistan will have to pay for this misadventure," Sitharaman said. The deaths of "our soldiers won't go in vain", she added. "The terrorists belonged to JeM, sponsored by Masood Azhar residing in Pakistan and deriving support from therein," she said.

PLA equips troops along Indian border with US army-style combat gear: Report
Highlights
  • PLA troops deployed along LAC have been equipped with QTS-11 system.
  • Each soldier equipped with QTS-11 is armed with a thermal imager and optoelectronic and positioning systems.
BEIJING: China has equipped a branch of the PLA deployed along the Indian border with a powerful US-style integrated individual soldier combat system to prepare for a future "informatised warfare", a media report has said.

Informatised warfare, a term widely used by the Chinese military in recent years, refers to the use of IT, digital and artificial intelligence applications in battlefield conditions.

The Sky Wolf Commandos, a branch of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) special operations forces from the western theatre command, have been equipped with the QTS-11 system in their training, Weihutang, a column affiliated with the China Central Television (CCTV), reported.

The western theatre command looks after the security along the 3,488 km-long Line of Actual Control (LAC) with India.

The QTS-11 system, according to Chinese experts, is similar to the one being used by US soldiers.

Hailed as the "strongest individual firepower in the world", the QTS-11 system not only contains firearms but also a full digitalised integrated individual soldier combat system, including detection and communications, Song Zhongping, a Chinese military expert told state-run Global Times.

The system, which includes an assault rifle and 20-millimeter grenade launcher, is capable of destroying antipersonnel targets.

Each soldier equipped with the system is armed with a thermal imager and optoelectronic and positioning systems, the Global Times quoted a report by Science and Technology Daily. QTS-11 system weighs up to seven kgs.

"The individual soldier combat system is only part of the digitalised army, something countries are attempting to do. Developing the integrated individual soldier combat system adapts to informatized warfare in the future," Song said.

"QTS-11 systems of the US and China are similar but not comparable. The system's capability depends on how it is used," Song said.

Special operations forces are the first to have a taste of the QTS-11 system before the system would be widely equipped into other forces.

The system is also very expensive, Song said.

The announcement by the official media of the deployment of new system along the border with India followed a report few days ago of the upgrading the air defences along the LAC was seen by military observers here as a psychological warfare being resorted to by the PLA.

The Global Times earlier quoted an expert as saying the upgradation of the air defence with deployment of fighter jets like J-10 and J-11 is aimed at confronting any threat from India in the light of India acquiring new fighter aircraft, an apparent reference to Rafale aircraft.

The Chinese military carried out a media blitzkrieg during the height of last year's 73-day Dokalam standoff highlighting deployment of new battle tank as well as massive military exercises on the Tibetan plateau.

The standoff over PLA's attempts to build a road close to the strategic narrow Chicken Neck corridor in North East ended after the Chinese military stopped the road building in the area which is also claimed by Bhutan.

The integrated combat system was firstly developed by the US but they have dropped the research of Objective Individual Combat Weaponry system due to weight problems.

So Gen Bajwa realizes what has hit them...
The FATF has given them time till June to make a mutually acceptable action plan, failing which they will be put in Black List, in case of acceptable plan they will be in Grey List.
With elections due in July, I am sure Nawaz will wash his hands off by allowing a caretaker government, so it will be the GHQ who will have to make the action plan and be accountable for it :)
GHO will have taste of it's own medicine... we will keep on banging them on LOC, Afgan's will join the fun and
terror groups within will create their own hungama as GHQ will have to support blocking of their funds....
Expect PAK army to do something stupid to get out of this mess... a localize war in Kashmir or a staged terror attack on their nuclear facility...
As their all weather friends say.... " interesting times ahead for GHQ":cruisin2:

One being true doesn't make other false. The BAT attack is as true as the destroyed Paki bunkers. General Bajwa's statement are a proof of that.

It's always "civvies" being killed in PoK isn't it? It's as if only civvies are present on the other side of LoC.
They want to reaffirm their position that there r not many troops present in PoK except at LoC but,Indians have half a million troops in Kashmir. We know dat Mirpur and Skardu has large ex-military populace.Their tricks might work with their ignorant foolish awam, not us.That's why we need to post videos on Social media everytime we bust their bunkers.

Uri is the weakest link in LoC and difficult to defend. If pakis start incursions via Uri,We should conduct offensive against pakis weakest areas along LoC.

They will send infiltrators or BAT only.
Pakis will not cross LC to conduct major offensive strike
