Having a dig just for fun, quoting line by line is best merit of written debates.
Pervez Hoodbhoy: ...................
A strong and avid supporter of nuclear disarmament, non-nuclear proliferation and the peaceful use of nuclear technology in Pakistan.
Hoodbhoy and nuclear disarmament, I will suggest author to read his writings and listen to speeches again.
Mani Shankar Aiyar: A former Indian diplomat with 26 years of service in the Indian foreign services,
Who has nearly no control on his tongue,
starts chanting with militants without even caring what they are saying
Banned for an year due to drinking in Parliament and abusive words against Amar Singh's mother.
Sometimes even asks Pakistanis to vote INC in order to wipe out BJP from centre.
Or ISIS aren't terrorists, their attacks from East to West are justified because somebody bothered to disturb their caliphate,
Seriously
He is a well-known political columnist and the author of Pakistan Papers
Who cares
and Remembering Rajiv, and has edited a four-volume publication, Rajiv Gandhi's India.
Where you sell country's property to fill your own safe, get killed due to an unnecessary trouble created by yourself and enjoy sympathy.
Seriously, we forgot cuz Rajiv died, otherwise having enough charges for him.
Why it can't be Narsimha Rao's India and not of someone of their family?
How bizarre is it to sit in the comfortable confines of a Goan hotel and discuss ways to save Pakistan? Not ways to counter, restrain or engage the nation – but to save it from itself, in a way. Or that both the Pakistani and the Indian panelist agreed on every point,
Why even bother? I bet Pakistanis will be laughing at him.
including the fact that Pakistan did indeed need to be saved, and that its most likely saviour is India.
Fact is that they don't wanna be called Indian and got their wishes fulfilled, wtf is the reason to care now.
The islamization of Pakistan has since continued apace. "Pakistan is losing its South Asian roots. It's being Arabized," said Hoodbhoy, "You can see it in what we say for goodbye. We now say 'allah hafiz' not 'khuda hafiz." And in that small change is a world of loss.
Utter bull$hit!!
Pakistan was based on assumption of being Arabian/Persian/Turk Muslims
Who didn't fought for India's freedom but Turk Khalifa, who feel proud to be called of Arabian roots and name their places in name of Arbians.
Creation of Pakistan was based on that we aren't same people so what happened now?
And Why still reluctant to call them" Indian Roots" and not "South Asian" roots?
Hoodbhoy himself arabized?
two important facts: "Pakistan is an irremovable geographical fact.
Removed half earlier, half will be gone once messes alone next time.
Pakistan is also an irreversible historical fact."
No one can save it in that case.
First decide,
We have roots of your country but we are irreversible! :biggrin2:
What we must conclude? Arab illegitimates begging for Indian Surname but yet not wanna be called be Indian?
You have to get one side,
A. Be inside India
B. F**k off!
Next is understanding the root cause of the hostility of the Pakistani state. Pakistan is not a failing or failed state," said Shankar Aiyar, arguing that it is precisely this need to impose unity on a divided, fragmenting nation that makes the state authoritarian. But to maintain it's authority, it needs an 'other,' and that 'other' is India. "The consequence of a failing Pakistan is a state that would attack the 'other' to save its own nation."
Sounds like requesting to make Pakistan an Indian Colony or an Indian State with autonomy. Why India needs to have partial control on it's own land and call it apart?
Hoodbhoy echoed the same thought in another way: "We have to accept in Pakistan that the two-nation theory has run its course. Moving forward, our idea of the nation has to be more inclusive."
Two nation theory or a logicless manipulation of one group infiltrating elsewhere and demand for other nation?
This theory can run only through minds of crazy jihadis who are just dying for believing whatever they want without even having a logic and I don't think it's irreversible through minds of people once we teach them complete history without manipulation, without calling any Raja or Sultan great ghazi.
But what we must remember – and quick to forget – claims Shankar Aiyar is that the Pakistani state has largely failed to persuade the Pakistani people. There remains a huge constituency for friendship which we need to work with, as opposed to responding to the constituency of hatred.
AFAIK, it's their people who created hatred to lick boots of khalifa and divided country, admit that you aren't their "brothers", there's no hatred on our side.
Following this logic, what India has to do is pull the rug from under the feet of the authoritarian Pakistani state.
But fails to give a reason why must we bother.
"Our response to Pakistan has to be asymmetric. To turn the other cheek," said Shankar Aiyar, "We need to give more than we expect." To discard the idea of reciprocity and create a blitzkrieg of goodwill."
Gandhi: "If someone slaps at your cheek, turn another cheek to hin.
Extension by Aiyyar: if someone slaps you, start their bread butter
I mean seriously
The seven steps Shankar Aiyar outlined include the following. One, return to the Musharraf/Manmohan Singh proposal to create a borderless Kashmir -- where the LOC is rendered irrelevant
And let those wahabis kill rest of sikhs whatever left in Jammu,
After killing all of kaffirs who collide with Sharia, say "We are Kashmir's voice"
– as a precursor to a borderless subcontinent.
Borderless India kehne me phat jati hai?
Two, agree to maintain "uninterrupted and uninterruptable dialogue" that will remain unbroken and regular, irrespective of terrorist attacks or any other calamity.
Irrespective of we start bombing your civilians also?
Three, introduce a visa regime similar to Nepal and remove all restrictions of pilgrimages. As Hoodbhoy agreed, the isolation of the two peoples strengthen the constituencies of hate.
What pilgrimages we are having for Muslims? We know for what they come here for.
The fourth remedy is to ensure a full and free media exchange, including and not limited to movies, TV channels and newspapers.
It's ya who ban them!
Will you let us print the complete UN Resolution 48 inside newspapers instead of what you guys tell yout compatriot, they will see who was actually following resolution.
Five, an open investment regime without any barriers to trade.
They are already open from our side, give us MFN.
Six and seven involve standing together on the international stage to push for the expansion of the UN Security Council
Not possible as long as Pakistan exists, Pakistanis have same reason here to that of Indian Independence,
They can't see Hindus ruling even if they run neutral, world must run in a way to make sure that it doesn't hurt caliphate.
and launch a joint initiative for global nuclear disarmament.
Must include P5.
Sounds naïve and unrealistic?
Stupid
As Shankar Aiyar is quick to remind us, the current European Union would have sounded as impossible a hundred years ago. Much like the French and Germans who fought and killed each other for centuries, we too can live together in "South Asian Union."
Problems in EU and "South Asia" are totally different,
EU is a Union different national entities, Sub continental countries are part of same country who are confused what they are.
Remember, term "South Asia" is younger in age than "India", leave alone Indian names.
I can't find an equivalent of India in EU who includes 70% of population or 80% of economy!
This is OUR country! A little trimmed, yet we have it,
Keep coining new terms as per your needs, Pakistan for Sharia, or South Asian Union for your existence, India gives identity to subcontinent & not fragmented subcontinental regimes to India. And you will keep running for us, not us.
