BBC REPORT ABOUT PENSIONERS
Over the past year, at least 176 Ukrainians have been convicted for “likes” on Odnoklassniki and Vkontakte - BBC
Most of them are unemployed or pensioners who previously had no problems with the law. They have learned to “like”, but they don’t know that this automatically publishes the news on their page.
This is how they turn from readers into distributors. For “liking” pro-Russian posts about the war you can get from 1 to 5 years.
In 90% of cases, defendants admit guilt, enter into an agreement with the investigation and receive a suspended sentence instead of prison.
But some pensioners get 5 years for liking – the same as a sentence for theft, murder or rape.
