There's no courage in fighting your own people, Ukrainians by shilling and prostituting themselves for the West forgot about the blood that runs deep between Russians and Ukrainians. They sold out a long time ago for dollars and cents instead of focusing on basically keeping a family intact.

Any army on home ground has an inherent advantage, add to that basically all the alms Intel, arms, ammo they need from NATO. It is no surprise that it was never going to be a cake walk for Russia especially if large swathes of valuable territory is to be taken.
