Pakistanis are very paranoid at the moment and perhaps don't believe India is buying into their peace overtures. Shutting down the airspace for this much period of time is going to impose significant cost on their economy and what ever is left of their international image.

We dont care for propaganda. Over a period of time, facts will truimph as people forget their old emotions.

The thought about missile strike may actually be a result of Indian psy-ops from handles like BabaBanarasi tweets:

At the end of the day, it was Indian psy-ops that worked. So, stay calm
.
I don't know who you have included and excluded in that WE of yours.

I have seen a horde of people asking for proof and falling for pakistani narrative even on DFI. Let alone elsewhere.

As for the missile threat. Well, GoI's organizations made selective leaks to send Pakistani military a message about India's willingness to climb the escalation ladder. Pakis buckled under Indian threat and decided to release Wing Co Abhinandan to save themselves. You will learn about in times to come.

So that no stupid Paki general would get an itchy trigger finger!
Actually, there is a Pakistani belief that if Pakistanis can keep their few warheads safe somewhere outside of Pakistan. Then they will be able to retaliate. In case India has taken out all their nuclear bases in First strikes with conventional weapons.

No folks Wing Co. did the right thing and he had every reason to, they had just bombed a target, he didn't know if there were casualties, the F-16 fires a missile at his wingman, now if this doesn't piss off any respectable flying officer in the IAF, I don't know what else would. He saw the kill and went for it. Herogiri is not what we did in time of danger, it's what we did inspite of danger unto certain death.

He will be back home, restored to full health, if found fit enough to fly again he is bound be on a shiny new bird probably a Brahmos capable MKI or the Rafale. We also forget the badass Wingman who is perhaps the only known pilot in these times to have a dodged a Aim-120 C-5 in a rusty Bison. Hopefully this guy get's a upgrade to a new jet too and he can play wingman with Wing Co.

It is an absolute delight to know that our pilots are making the most out of decades old equipment. With new kit, Pukis and Chinks don't stand a chance. It is also wonderful to display this sheer audacity, guts and resolve to kill the enemy. This is the stuff that puts fear into PAF.
WC Varthaman must be the darling of the Russians at the moment :)

and... ...

what was his story?
The usual , but he was very confident from the starting of this crisis that it will be de-escalated through third party interference.
He put it quite simply, everyone has set of objectives and goals for which strategies, actions and narratives are laid and set into action. Indians are doing it to achieve that and Pakistani are doing what they can to achieve what they can.

He's a certified badass. His experience would be invaluable. This guys proves its just not about the machine, but it's also the man behind it.

There is a case filed in pak against Abhinandan's release in high court.o_O

Hmnnn further delay.
Hehe Islamabad HC squashed it. Maybe they should file it in our SC. Odds of their win will go up by a notch. They can get free activists like PBhusan to file cases, Lawyers like Sibbal to fight for them and 'our' media to play their tunes. ofc SC too will be open for them at 3 AM.

Shooting down a F-16 by a Mig is no mean affair, but still discipline must be maintained. We really don't know what the RoE were and if order was floated, perhaps a wrap on the knuckle would do.
I'm still not sure what the RoE was. The Pakistanis had breached our air space and dropped bombs. Our response was a limited one, maybe considering the size of the Pakistani force. What the WC did was pretty brave by any consideration I wish we had a bigger response against the Pakistani force. The fact that they only lost one when they came in 24 strong is not something we should be okay with.
