Can someone please clarify me here . Is wagah border the only route indian and pakistan can use for any human exchange ? Why cant we send one of those fucking private jets we have and bring him back . Why all these media drama . Sending Wg Cdr walk through Wagah border is purely in paki propaganda theatrics which liberals will show as peace gesture of IK. We should simply bring him back in midnight flight if not through wagah border

And shut the peaceniks with this below pic if they are over celebrating IK

Because pakis wanted it this way.... our guys wanted to bring him via air....

Pakis want to make a spectacle out of it.

Prior to planning the surgical strikes, Balakot was discussed. However India did not want a hurried operation at Balakot and thought it would be better to test the waters in the form of a surgical strike first. After hitting Balakot meant entering deep into Pakistan and hitting the target.

Although the agencies were aware of a massive build up of terrorists at Balakot, they was no green signal from the government. Former officer with the Research and Analysis Wing Amar Bhushan confirms that they had mapped Balakot 15 years ago. However there was no signal from the government to hit it. It is one of the biggest and most dangerous facilities of the JeM and it ought to have been hit long back, Bhushan explains.

...

With regard to the number of terrorists killed in the operation, Amar Bhushan says that the numbers really dont matter. The fact is that an identified camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammad has been hit. It was a regular structured base, where terrorists were trained.

I would say that by hitting the camp, India has conveyed a very strong message.

The other message that we have conveyed is that we know where they are are and what support they are getting. I am sure that the loses have been great in number. I

exactly...look at NK SK boundery line...they look so professional and serious...while ours and pakis...shown balls by lifting ankles in sky...yuckkk
Who the fuck are you!

What do you know about professionalism? What do you know about marching and parade?

Every nation has its culture. And every armed forces need the support of its people. Attari border ceremony does instill a sense of nationalism and pride in laymen who visits there. It doesn't mean that BSF is not professional, but it means that a subtle show of force and sense of rivalry is maintained.

Btw, try showing books to the sky like our boys do. You'd learn how easy that is to do.

Why nitpick, in the heat of battle things happen. Am sure if I/you were there, would have done the same thing.
Can't arm chair expertise this from here.

1. we don't know yet.

2. If 1 is true then yes, he will face disciplinary action of some sort, not sure about court martial.

Why do we even need Beating retreat?

Beating retreat needs to be cancelled once and for all. Let Bakis continue their nautanki.

Thoughts?
I agree. I know a lot of people get their kicks with this ceremony and it is some sort of tourist attraction but this ceremony equates us with Pakistan. I'm not a big fan of all that crowing and strutting about either. I would be happy if it was got rid of and we install a powered gate at the border which some bored looking BSF guy can shut with a push of a button leaving the Pakistanis to their circus

Time will tell. Slap in the wrist maybe.

At present, celebrate WC Abhi shot a state of the art F16 with outdated Mig21, an impossible feat! This says a lot about paki pilots and their training, and our own pilot's skills and training.

The narrative is changing, pakis are sulking! Keep up the ante bros!

Don't like it don't go.

Many others enjoy the ceremony and the shenanigans that go with it.

I personally see it no different to the rubbish we see in Western capitals- Change of guard at Buckingham palace win those garish suits, or the parades that happen in various cities.

Good chance for tourists to see the border and idiots on the other side. Does a lot to open brainwashed eyes and minds.

In engagement, sometimes one can get tangled up. In a matter of 2-3 seconds, one can travel over a kilometer and that is very difficult to control all of a sudden. So, he is not liable for court marshal. He may have broken formation but in LOC where battle is demarcated by thin line boundary it is difficult to have all these in mind while acting in a matter of seconds

I don't think we should be commenting on the operational aspects of the mission. That is what post mission debriefing is for. Even now, the Wing Commander will be first be taken for a medical checkup and then be taken straight for debriefing. The IAF will probably not court martial him however as the PR would be too bad. I mean, you do not actually want to tell aspiring youngsters that you get court-martialled for shooting down one of the most hyped up fighter jets ever in a 40 year old aircraft.

agree...i was wrong about "professional" comments...

could we at least tone it down to simply close the gate and go to positions while saying bye bye to colourful uniforms, shouting and kicking grouunds etc. and arming our guards to teeth with hi tech gear like this one...
