An s-300 /s-400 on rajeshtan or Gujurat Border will be more than enough. I have heard AWACS are already in that vicinity. This is not a defensive move , It is an offensive move to strike Karachi hard.It is difficult for Pakistan to penetrate Indian airspace over longer distances. But Deesa is just 100km from border. Small ballistic missiles which are cheaply manufactured can be used in large numbers to attack the airbase. Pakistan has also got several anti ship missiles and other short range cruise missiles from China to be used. MRBL firing can also be done in salvos to take out such a close target.
Taking out targets which are long range requires accurate missiles and navigation system (which Pakistan doesn't have and India can jam GPS, Beidou, Glonass from within Indian airspace quite easily (satellite signals are weak and it doesn't take much energy to distort it) and Cruise missiles can be accurate with terrain mapping but are easily shot down due to slower speed and lesser maneuvering ability. So, Pakistan will find it difficult to take out deeper targets.
