Can anyone tell at most what will happen if GOI go hard on these converts and illegal kukis . Kadi ninda and sanction from west. As far as dumbocracy goes ,Meiteis still form majority.
what is more important long term stability of border area but than again if common sense was thing in our leadership and bureaucracy Assam and Bengal would not be on destructive path that they are today.

CPC solved all these problem very early in the game.
It;s not just these Kuki militias. The Meities have theirs. The Nagas have theirs. etc..

Consequences for clamping down -

1. Internal strife in all these areas (as though it is not there now)
2. Causalities among civilians & ofc. armed forces
3. Terrorist attacks against infra
4. All groups directing their ire against IA & GOI
5. Alienating the demographic still further
6. Courts
7. Press (local / international) with their own narratives
8. Human rights
9. Threat of economic sanctions
10. Electoral impacts
11. Not 2.5 scenario but a really 3 scenario

No government is going to risk all these. Could have been doable in the past when information flow was somewhat limited. At best there could be some stikes against KNA camps, some sporadic gunfight , arrests etc..

but these things can not be ignored .they are only going to become bigger problem from now on. Solution is needed sooner rather than later. At this rate every border state will become hostile and demographics be changed.

Tamils from Burma came back to India when General Ne Win nationalized banks, shops, and factories. Some of them found life in refugee camps in Tamil Nadu very hard, so they decided to return to Burma through land. They were stopped by Burmese immigration at the border town of Moreh and settled there as a result.[2]

Around 1992, there were clashes between the Tamil and Kuki communities due to attempts by Kuki militants to impose heavy taxes on Tamil businesses.[3]

Very recently, the Tamil community has been involved in a legal battle to prevent the Manipur government from giving up land occupied by Sri Angala Parameshwari Sri Muneeswarar temple to Myanmar.[4][5] One of the gates of this temple is in Burmese territory.[6]

The Thadou–Paite ethnic clash of 1997–1998 was a deadly conflict between the two communities in Churachandpur district in Manipur, India,

The causes of the conflict were ethnic tensions and armed terrorism . It started in June 1997 when insurgents executed nine Paite villagers. Over 352 people died, thousands of homes were destroyed and over 13,000 people were displaced. The Government of India sent in the Indian Army to attempt to stop the violence. The conflict ended in September 1998 with a peace agreement between the two communities.
On 29 September 1998, to make amends for the Saikul massacre and to end the conflict, the Kuki Inpi invited the Zomi Council to a feast. A bull was slaughtered for the occasion and both groups shared the meal.
The next day, the Zomi Council reciprocated by inviting the Kukis to a feast. Hence, the conflict ended.
Over 50 villages were destroyed and some 13 000 people were displaced."[citation needed] According to official records kept by the Government of Manipur, the communal violence killed 352 persons, injured 136 and destroyed 4,670 houses.[4] The majority moved to areas surrounding the district capital of Churachandpur and Mizoram, where they were housed in makeshift refugee centres in schools, hospitals and various other buildings. .

Mods,

Posts with political undertones/overtones, govt criticism can be moved to the political discussion thread.

Last thing a lurker wants is to go through 5 pages of Modi, RSS, Hindu bashing which have zero relation to the thread.

Flame baiting posts are contagious and other members get drawn in. The essence of the thread is lost in a mindless back and forth.

Not just CCP, in fact every dynasty that has ruled China has been doing this. Sinicization has been an official chinese policy since many 1000's of years. Chinese Genocides and their forced assimilation policies would make European wars and native american genocide look like child's play.

Neither the Indian state nor did Hindus have the spine to go ahead start the assimilation process. So this is the end result, various tribes and castes fighting each other to death.

What happened was messed up and cant be condoned, but its very interesting how leftist scum online are not mentioning about the violence in the state at all and are pretending this conflict started this year. Kukis and Nagas were mas killing each other in the early 1990s, and again in 1997 between Kukis and Paites. Both these clashes killed 500+ people each. The cookies and Nagas are the most problematic tribes in the NE. Both groups have issues and conflict with every other tribe

Naga vs Kuki - Tribal internecine war ree. Govt. must intervene and stop both sides from killing each other.

Kuki vs Meitei - Hindu vs Christian reee.. genocide ree... we should move the UN ree. Govt. must take action against marauding Meiteis ree.. so what if the Kukis rape pre-pubescent Meitei teens, rape Meitei women, dismember Meitei people, set them on fire.. set Meitei villages on fire and call for the genocide of Meitei people who are the original inhabitants of Manipur unlike the Kuki settlers from Miyanmaar.

Need of the hour is for Meitei people to flood social media with their own victim narrative... that will put some pressure on the media and stop this one sided coverage else it looks like Kandhamahal riots redux.

Most of NE was fairly peaceful except for Assam and Manipur even before BJP came to power.
But what is happening in Manipur was not seen even during the worst phase of insurgency.
Oct 15, 1993 , Kuki-Naga conflict: Recent massacres in Manipur take state virtually to brink of civil war

From January to September this year, 400 people were killed, 200 injured, 1,200 houses burnt down and 3,500 people rendered refugees.

The recent bloodletting has seen men, women and children being chopped to pieces as they go about their daily lives, and the state succumbing to such fierce insurgency that it seems intent on becoming the site of what might be one of the bloodiest civil wars in Independent India.

Jul 28, 1997, Manipur once again on the brink as smaller tribes are drawn into the Kuki-Naga conflict
That is why it is not easy to accept their suddenly reverting to the language of violence: nearly 100 people killed, 300 houses burnt down and 10,000 rendered homeless in Churachandpur district in less than a month.

Manipur is demographically a complex state, dominated by the majority Hindu Meiteis. The Nagas, concentrated mainly in the northern hills, constitute 15 per cent of the population and the Kukis comprise an equal number, most of them Thadou-speaking.

Nomadic in nature, the Kukis have spread all over the state but live in large numbers along the border with Myanmar

#International Backings, Trainings in Bangladesh by ISI , Bangladesh Rifles

The NSCN(M) is the most potent of the insurgent groups in Manipur according to an army intelligence officer. The latest intelligence reports on the militant group are certainly alarming.

It is 1,000-strong and has about 600 sophisticated weapons such as AK-47 and AK-56 guns, G-3 and M-16 rifles, rocket launchers, radio sets and mines bought from the arms bazaars in Myanmar, Thailand and Bangladesh.

About 20 km from Cox's Bazaar in Bangladesh, the NSCN(M) has a training camp in Tarishdeba where the militants are trained by the Bangladesh Rifles and Pakistan's ISI, say intelligence reports.

In India the NSCN(M) has linked up with the Bodo Security Force and the ULFA in Assam and the ATTF in Tripura. By joining the Unrepresented National and People's Organisation, a pressure group of organisations demanding independence which is based in The Hague in the Netherlands, the NSCN(M) has made a mark on the international scene.

Its leader, Issac Chisisw, addressed the UN meeting on indigenous people in Geneva last July which won it international recognition, something the NSCN(M) has been striving for.

The Kukis started the fight. We will finish the fight on our terms. This is a lesson that all Kukis and those who dare to attack will learn to their deep sorrow.
