Older UPA era political science textbook had a chapter of Nepal struggle for democracy which says that rise Nepali of democracy is inspiration for world.

It was wrong thing to happen, we didn't knew that how inimical are dark forces around us who were working without scrutiny to destroy us while we were ignorant.

IMO, democracy is suitable only for the large countries because it requires stable demography, diversity, and institutional support. Countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal etc would have done better by merging into the Indian Union.

Democracy works when you have a homogenous population with not much differences between them(like UK).

Democracy works when you have a homogenous population with not much differences between them(like UK).

Democracy will work when there is culture of democracy in between population, that's not something can be taught overnight. It comes from long evolution, and have to suffer endurance testing.

"homogeneous population" is a way to achieve "stable demographics". Diversity is the inverse of the "sheep mentality", people don't easily get swayed by the trends and propaganda.
