sir you have mentioned that our anti tank weapons are prone to jammingWhile outlining the shortcomings in the present organisational set up, Col Faujdar highlighted the following key areas:
"¢ The present personal weapon is outdated in design and performance. A 5.56 mm INSAS Rifle and Light Machine Gun still has shortcomings.
"¢ The night-fighting capability is limited in sections/platoons/companies.
"¢ Present support weapons are very heavy and bulky.
"¢ The surveillance capability with the Infantry battalions is very limited.
"¢ The existing anti-tank resources are prone to jamming and errors.
"¢ The Infantry battalions lack tactical mobility.
"¢ Water crossing expedients are not made available to an Infantry soldier.
Afaik, Infantry use wire guided line of sight ATGM, If tank use smoke screen you cannot hit the tank..sir you have mentioned that our anti tank weapons are prone to jamming, can you pls brief our anti tank resources, can our tanks jam anti tank missiles

Almost all Major firearms makers so does DRDO..Who are the contenders in Indian Army Standard Issue Assault Rifle bid? Is DRDO FINSAS rifle ready to compete world class ARs?Who are the contenders competing for the 44k CQB carbine bid? Any news?
Sir, the present modernization emphasis on few major points :losing out on the raison d'etre - bayonet strength at the objective end!
These parameters are as old as Mohenjodaro.Sir, the present modernization emphasis on few major points :
1. accuracy
2. heavy firepower
3. Light weight
4. Communication & electronics
5. Enhance awareness
I doubt they intent to increase numbers ..
The point being?why they need weapons ,we have so many humans who can give there life
why we waste money while we have solider to die .
let the govtmake the money for kongress party
M4!! Hey Ram!!! :O :OAlmost all Major firearms makers so does DRDO..
I think MOD selected M4 carbine..
Same as before just more advance..The issue are:
What are the section weapons?
I assume no change & Same way no major change..How is the Section organized?
What are the new weapons inducted and who carries what?
How does that affect the bayonet strength?
Mini UAV operators will be consist of two men extra, these men may not be a permanent part of a squad but as optional option in special needs..The Inf is to get mini UAVs.
Who will operate that and where will the manpower come from?
Sir, i doubt there will be any addition of new weapon system but same weapons more advance and more importantly lighter yet with more ammo..There are many questions that arise regarding addition of weaponry and its effect on the organisational structure, and thereby the fighting prowess which basically, in real terms, means capturing an objective and holding on to it.
Who carries the anti Material rifle?Same as before just more advance..
What are the modern weapons being given to the section and the platoon?I assume no change & Same way no major change..
Manpower from where?Mini UAV operators will be consist of two men extra, these men may not be a permanent part of a squad but as optional option in special needs..
Sure?Sir, i doubt there will be any addition of new weapon system but same weapons more advance and more importantly lighter yet with more ammo..
So what happens then about making things light for the infantry man?One thing might change is the ammo carry capacity may increase individually
