NICEE! Proper MOLLE based plate carrier, multicam camo on the gun, optic, light, med kit, knife, etc.. I'd have liked the mag pouches in the front though. But otherwise, everything is where it needs to be. Add a radio and push to talk (connected to headset/earset), and the plate carrier setup is complete.

its not about being ugly, the AK system just isnt modular enough for the future. The 7.62x39 cartridge is also outdated compaired to whats on offer today.

I mostly think indian special forces may go for the rifle that wins US NGSW contest for testing the 6.8 round. But ak's we cant do anything

The AK round isn't outdated though 6.8 round may be much better for now in carbine and rifle general infantry.

Galil Ace manage to provide good accuracy and low recoil for AK round. We need to do a small scale trial of new round by letting RR involved in operation against terrorists try it out. If they provide positive feedback move ahead with it else ak round with a better rifle must be inducted.

Well that rifle might be costly for us may be 6.8 round you meant ? Probably yes but slim chance.

AK rifle is produced for large infantry formations like we have for para military and other army units.

And usually in bilateral exercises IA troops wear their bpj, surprising that they aren't this time.
