The Best way to counter snipers is spraying the entire place with HMGs as Preventive fire

We have HMGs like KPV and NSG and PKT

Snipers hide in ambush and target mobile patrols of the Indian Army from what I can tell. I don't think it is possible to drag a heavy machine gun, set it up and then start firing while under the scope of the enemy sniper. That is why I was thinking use a gunfire locator along with artillery and counter sniping. Anyway, I'm sure the Indian Army has better brains than an internet armchair warrior like myself.

And in a large scale war there will be thousands of casualties

Is this country ready for that for the sake of POK

Boomerang is a gunfire locator developed by DARPA and BBN Technologies primarily for use against snipers. Boomerang is mounted on mobile vehicles such as the Humvee, Stryker, and MRAP combat vehicles. There were plans to integrate it into the Land Warrior system.

We have a desi radar developed by BEL in Bangalore. It does the same thing. It locates small arms fire, including sniper and mortars.

It doesn't track sound waves, unlike the Boomerang, but it's a Doppler radar so it detects the hot air pressure wave caused by the moving bullet, so bullet tracking is possible. It's multipurpose, it also tracks helicopters etc.

Why Pakistan is not climbing down from Aggression

The Answer is that they think India is a SOFT State

All these multi billion dollar weapons have no use
if we are scared by 100 casualties in a Year

Pakistan knows that Indian Media will force Modi to
Go for peace and talk with them

They also feel that Today Kashmir is in the same position
as 1971 of Bangladesh

They feel this is their moment of revenge

And Chinese help has made them more confident

The only way to break their morale and will is to

Surveillance is getting cheap.

Yeah, drones, motion sensors, electric fencing, gunfire locators. Infiltration into India is going to get more and more impossible in the future. Pakistan is fighting a losing battle here. Internal cleanup is already going strong and the jihadi movement will die at some point.

Also remember that in 2014 there was a lot of LOC fighting

Then USA was asked by the Pakis to intervene to bring peace

Obama was pushing Modi for peace

So Modi made a final attempt with Lahore trip

Now no country says that India should talk to Pakistan

And After URI the gloves are finally off

Modi has shown that He can do both

Make an Attempt for peace and also Surgical strikes

Who cares if Modi touches the mother's feet or sings her a song? It's all optics, for the right people, to convey the right message.

Manmohan destroyed India's interests in substantive ways.

You need to separate words and statements and optics from policy and money and weapons. The latter matters, the former is inconsequential.

lol no media is asking modi to slow down LoC fight. Infact its opposite, media houses r adding fuel to fire. It's upto modi to decide on next level of action on loc. But he is too busy on pleasing uncle sam

There the best way to weed out Hidden snipers is
spraying them at all possible locations
