India-China army meet after Ladakh scuffle inconclusive

Though the army refused to divulge details, sources indicated the meeting was ‘inconclusive’. The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said it was not aware of the “scuffle” between the two sides. “Chinese border troops are committed to maintaining peace and tranquillity along the Sino-India border,” said foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying.

“We urge the Indian side to scrupulously abide by relevant agreements, protocols and rules between the two countries and earnestly respect the 1959 line of control and earnestly protect the peace and stability of the border region,” she added.

Amid the current standoff, Beijing has offered a massive $1 million humanitarian assistance package to India’s neighbour Nepal and forged an agreement with the hill country to explore oil and gas resources - a move that is likely to irk India. Nepal has sought to remain neutral in the dispute between Beijing and New Delhi with the country’s Deputy Prime Minister saying it “will not take sides.”

Does the army have option to retain operational control over ITBP like it does over BSF in wartime situations? If this news is true, then I hope ITBP installations across LAC are reinforced/replaced by regular army. I really really hope this isn't true. However if it is, there's no way we should back down.

I guess Chinese plans as follows.Limited time, short but massive airstrike and artillery barrages on linking area between India and Dolam area. Their jets will not strike inside India, but patrol to stop any Indian aerial movements.Mobile SAMs will be sent to. They know India too will mobilize some, so they better will remain inside their border. Mass patroling in Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand,Ladakh and Aksai Chin area. Their intension will not be to kill as many Indian soldier as possible, rather to humiliate. So to do that they will make sure India can't send reinforcements to Dolam area. The Indian troops in Dolam area, will be captured. That's their plan. After complete capture of Dolum, unilateral ceasefire and release of PoW.

Ofcorse, that's just a hypothetical and my personal opinion.

bunkers which were hit due to skirmish and seize fire or extra 100 bunkers? they can accommodate 1500 soldiers or people? what??
...............................................

Not related to the army. State govt building shelters/ bunkers to accommodate civies. State govt and civies has no role in constructing army's infrastructure. These are very big shelters on both Sides ie India and Pakistan, mostly in Jammu and Punjab and now in Kashmir

Army's bunker are constructed by Army's Combat Engineers apart from military and civie infrastructure in UN peacekeeping deployment.
In the Army Engr troops have separate trade such as electrician, pump operators etc

Now what I do think how India can counter the plan. Same thing what China wants to do. Increse of force along the LAC. Mobilization of airdefence systems to Indian border near Dolam. Possibly we can't send artilleries there as ours are heavy. But limitedair patrol inside Indian bordee near Dolam, will definitely make Chinese hold their own plan of airstrike. A full control on the airspace will allow to maintain the supply to Dolam area. The stand off however will be continued.

Assuming ITBP sustained a casualty, was it outright attacked or did things go out of hand during a scuffle?

The Chicoms have an upper hand as they have deep pockets and thus can buy the loyalty of smaller countries like Nepal.

chinks have lost the plot and have shown they are not capable of fighting. No need to cut up china into 7 just take back aksai chin and tibet and they rest will collapse on its own.
