Extended for one more year. Trust me will be extended into 2025 due to election.Link?
Not sure this is how it’s going.Extended for one more year. Trust me will be extended into 2025 due to election.
But I think it’s ok. The subsidies are for poor people anyway and they are food. Duplicate ration cards mostly are weeded out.
This amount is nothing compared to subsidies every year we spend on industries and agriculture.
I have a feeling that even 2x110kn engine would fall short of IAF requirements at the end of the day. All 5th gen aircraft’s have huge power requirements and only AMCA has the lowest power capacity from get go which would limit the payload, sensors and radars performance. In the late 2020s/2030s F35 will be heavily pitched to india, this will encourage the IAF to float a NG-MRFA contest I’m sure of it.
this circus will never end with these clowns running the show
The TWR wouldn’t be too far off for the AMCA with 2x 110KN and I thought it was mentioned that their aim was to have a max output of 125KN which would give it better TWR than the J-20I have a feeling that even 2x110kn engine would fall short of IAF requirements at the end of the day. F22 uses 2 x 156Kn F119 engine,
F35 uses 1 x 191kn engine. Plans are to use an upgraded engine from 2030. May be 210kn.
J20- 2 x 145kn.
TFX- 2 x 145kn
AMCA - 2 x 110kn. First batch 2 x 98kn.
Seems set up for failure…… not sure
Seems no trainer was delivered this year. HAL had to deliver 8 trainers of the original 40 before March 2023. Maybe the trainers are planned to be of 1A configuration. That would mean no new ac delivery till 2024.The TWR wouldn’t be too far off for the AMCA with 2x 110KN and I thought it was mentioned that their aim was to have a max output of 125KN which would give it better TWR than the J-20
all academic of course because it’s now 2023 and they haven’t even started work on the engines that have enormous lead times
One way or another they’ll find a way to keep the import gravy train flowing
IMRH, TEDBF, AMCA and LCA MK.2 are dying slow deaths that’s it
Not too worried about deliveries from HAL anymore, since the second squadron was raised they haven’t been giving regular updates on deliveries/handovers and the IAF hasn’t been whining so there’s mutual understanding there. As long as all are handed over by the time the 1st MK1A is produced in March 2024 then there’s no problem reallySeems no trainer was delivered this year. Plus money have been freed up from Rafale deal and somewhat from S400 deal since 2-3 are already delivered and the rest are 50% done. Hopefully they place another 36 or 54 Rafale order and done with MRFA
Well we have to start from somewhere and we (the IAF) can't be those two characters in "Waiting for Godot"I have a feeling that even 2x110kn engine would fall short of IAF requirements at the end of the day. F22, J-20 and the TF-X are larger and heavier as well. AMCA is stated to have better T/W ratio than the F-35 if our engine materializes. "Even" with the 110kn engine we'd be much better off than the J-20 Vigorous Truck and the Turk.I have a feeling that even 2x110kn engine would fall short of IAF requirements at the end of the day. Sustained Turn Rate that is given as 12 deg/sec and ITR of 24 deg/sec..Bit off topic but this declassified Doc shows what is the real difference between CGI marketing Brochures and operational data, Thank god we never chosen Saab js39

F22, J20, SU-57 all are heavy class fighters. F-35 is almost the heavy class fighter and have only 191KN thrust.I have a feeling that even 2x110kn engine would fall short of IAF requirements at the end of the day. IAF may release the RFI stating engine must be > 120kn thrustWell we have to start from somewhere and we (the IAF) can't be those two characters in "Waiting for Godot"
Gripen was always a lie. We always knew it's data doesn't add up.Bit off topic but this declassified Doc shows what is the real difference between CGI marketing Brochures and operational data, Thank god we never chosen Saab js39

procurement historySource
Just a speculation considering historySource
This is the calm before the storm. IAF will soon make an announcement that because of falling squadron strength they can't defend the country & therefore we need to purchase X squadrons of foreign fighter jets. This will be taken up by opposition leaders & used against the Govt. of the day. MoD babus who have an incredible nose for the scent of money/kickbacks will swing into action & will sign some dubious deal in record time. Not too worried about deliveries from HAL anymore, since the second squadron was raised they haven’t been giving regular updates on deliveries/handovers and the IAF hasn’t been whining so there’s mutual understanding there. aside from talking about MRFA no one inside IAF seems that concerned about falling squadron numbers so let them pay the price
Then we will never have our own indigenous engine program. Look at the Chinese program. They started small and built their way up.IAF may release the RFI stating engine must be > 120kn thrust
