- HAL chairman and managing director R. MadhavanWe plan to make 24 aircraft a year for which we are setting up parallel production lines...
Its nothing but a PR exercise. In couple of years he well retire with a handsome pension and the next chief will come with a new set of promise.!- HAL chairman and managing director R. Madhavan
Does this mean anything or is it just talk? What he said could not be clearer.
City firm makes first central fuselage for HAL’s aircraft
HAL looking for more private sector participation in making full fledged structures in LCA-Tejas space and other defence related productswww.thehindu.com
Pakistan makes 58 percent of the fuelsage and calls it indigenous right ?- HAL chairman and managing director R. Madhavan

Yes maybe even less and that too only fusalage of a metal based fighter, very old tech.Pakistan makes 58 percent of the fuelsage and calls it indigenous right ?

Which parts are the fuelsage Pakistan makes India makes the whole fuelsage right ?Yes maybe even less and that too only fusalage of a metal based fighter, very old tech.
<removed by mod> india makes all of the fuselage (except the radome & engine, that's imported)... Other than that the refueling probe, HMDS, radar & ejection seat are still imported.Which parts are the fuelsage Pakistan makes India makes the whole fuelsage right ?
Radome is made by HAL under license.Bich india makes all of the fuselage (except the radome & engine, that's imported)... Other than that the refueling probe, HMDS, radar & ejection seat are still imported.
Those are the low use high-end stuff, ie, they require a considerably high amount of money in the R&D compared to more parts/subsystems (like radar that we've now developed).
None…Which parts are the fuelsage Pakistan makes India makes the whole fuelsage right ?
What's the radome do where is it from ?Bich india makes all of the fuselage (except the radome & engine, that's imported)... Other than that the refueling probe, HMDS, radar & ejection seat are still imported.

Also pls stop abusing meBich india makes all of the fuselage (except the radome & engine, that's imported)... Other than that the refueling probe, HMDS, radar & ejection seat are still imported.

Radome wiki link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RadomeWhat's the radome do where is it from ?
Radome is not a low use item. They are required in every aircraft and more importantly in every guided missile that has RF-component involved in guidance.Bich india makes all of the fuselage (except the radome & engine, that's imported)... He wanted to say बीच (middle). Also pls stop abusing me
Is that right? Cobham has licensed production in India?Radome is made by HAL under license.
HAL doesIs that right? Cobham has licensed production in India?
Subject: Ok fully formal with you...What's the radome do where is it from ?
Oh fuck no, it's all relative... return on investment.Radome is not a low use item. They are required in every aircraft and more importantly in every guided missile that has RF-component involved in guidance.
By the same logic we are wasting money developing engines as we can buy them off the shelf as in the case of Tejas, same goes for Uttam AESA radar (we can get ToT for EL/M-2052) or DARE EW warfare suite (we can get ToT for EL/M-8222 jammer and its Eco-system) and the list goes on.Oh fuck no, it's all relative... return on investment.
R&D of a radone will cost near as much as the 110kN engine (which itself is the most money sucking R&D possible)!
Simpler to just ToT import it. Kinda similar for HMDS or HUD too... better to just buy one from experts & concentrate on jammers, sensors instead.
