I heard that Tejas RCS is around .5. Is it with weapons or without weapons attached to it. How much RCS can be reduced if stealth coating is used. Can anyone guess?

F 22 type fighter ?

Well french are most efficient and practical , no big claims , step by step upgradation , timeline might be a issue .
Budget too. Developing something on lines of F22 shouldn't be a technological challenge for France. France is only country with close technological gap with US in aerospace sector.

Can you explain in more details pls
LCA was studied as a point defense fighter, to remplace the numerous Mig21 in the Indian air force.
A point defense fighter has just to carry a air to air load (so light), climb in the sky, with a small range (point defense), and return. So the bird for this kind of mission is small and light, to cost the less possible so as to have the more number possible.
Now if you decide to make air to ground mission with it, you are facing problems : the drag of the AtoG weapons is high, so it reduce the range which is already short (because point defense only). The strenghts on the frame of a AtoG load is higheer than a Air to Air one, so you have to reinforce the wings and body. Your bird is going heavier etc....
So once the LCA was studied for short range air to air cover, it's difficult to move it as a air to ground or CAS fighter. It's probably one good reason of the delay in this program.

In what configuration? With what kind of load? At what speed and altitude?
This post has the details. Here's the gist:

The Tejas regularly flies non-stop between Bengaluru and Jodhpur & Bengaluru and Jaisalmer for various trials and exercises. For example, flying between Bengaluru and Jaisalmer with two 1200 litre (l) drop tanks, the aircraft lands with 800 kg of fuel still onboard even after flying for 2.5 hours! In fact, these flights are regularly done at 28,000 feet (because of air traffic regulations) instead of 35,000 feet where the endurance will be even greater. Taking all these aspects into account it is easy to see why the endurance of the Tejas Mk1 and Mk1A is above 3 hours, pretty much like that of the Gripen C/D and the F-16, with whom it is being compared. With CFTs, the F-16IN can fly longer for about 4 hours.

OK. 2.5 hours + some fuel left without load except external tanks.
Not so bad for a point defense fighter.
Never forget that the main role of a point defense fighter is to reach fastly a target near the airbase. ie with a great use of after burner, and some weapons with its drag ! not the same endurance then.

But atleast better than other in class .

Can swap role for escort in case of some specific mission .

It's difficult to say, because it is really a small bird, so few jets in its class. And maybe no one !
T 50 , chinese one , taiwan ones , new turkish one (this is quite confusing , share your views on it ).

Hurjet is basically a whore jet imo

Tejas MK1 is already seen in CAP/CAS on western border with full load. Endurance should be good enough.

You are contradicting yourself.. which target near the airbase takes 2.5 hours to reach 🤔 For a point defence role, Tejas has enough endurance to reach with full load..
