Totally understand where this is coming from but if we proceed with the follow-up order we will be left with no money to buy anything else. ASAP They will remain till the time they are not replaced and to replace them we need Tejas.

I have said it before and will say it again.
Order additional one squad of Tejas Mk1 to a private firm with a follow up of 80+ Tejas MK1A(Private) and reduce the numbers with HAL to 50 odd.
by the time those 50 will be built we will have our Tejas Mk2 and then they should place a bigger order.

HAL setting up new line does not give me enough faith to trust them with deliveries.
That 3rd line is for mk1a bro

.
But the J-10s they're actually using never managed any customers despite them trying... Don't know what to make of that.
You over think too much , as I said if one reads propaganda, he or she becomes part of the propaganda .

Can you find out how many jf17 crashed till date ? Do that, will stop you from reading too much into propaganda .

Porkies have no alternative than to drive up hype on bander , do they ?

There f16s are running on the whims of the Americans .

Don't have money to buy other aircrafts.

Myanmar bought the FC1 directly from china mostly because it was via soft loan and cheap .

Nigeria bought jf17 because they have no other choice , cannot afford other fighters. They took more than 4 years to complete payment for 3 cheapest aircraft :pound:. They barely managed to buy tucano because trump offered a swap deal . Instead of America returning the 500 million black money they will supply the tucanos . Previously Obama had refused to return the money :pound:if FATF sanctions get imposed on porkistan they will get fucked :pound:

I favour the above deal because if we play our cards right we can access information about the jf17 in great details hopefully.

Problems with LCA squarely lies with IAF , idiots kept changing the requirements and only recently have they decided to own it , IAF is like a spooled brat . They thought india is a cash cow . Demand foreign aircrafts and govt will keeping buying for them

Mods don't move this post from here , and bleh don't quote this post , if you want to reply tag me by my username

Why are there so few good videos of Tejas. Our armed forces suck when it comes to marketing and promotions and inspiring the younger generation. If this was the US there would have been HD cockpit videos with go pro and an aero display team attracting youngsters. Instead all we get is same old LIMA air show and bahrain air show loops and 2 min "exclusives" from crappy defence journalist like Shiv Aroor. IAF needs to address this dimension if it hopes to attract more youngsters.

Don't worry , soon Bollywood will make a 4K feminist propaganda movie on Tejas ( similar to Gunjan saxena ) , and give all the credit to some woman .

Well. You don't want to give too much information to enemies. And we don't have much to share anyway 😂. Tejasmk1 is an very avg Ac anyway with 4th gen tech. The Ac might have just one or two surprises or not at all. We don't want the enemy to know that.

The Americans have various versions of the same craft. F16 A to V to F21 with many dev version in btw. They can do all hulla hoops to showcase any videos.

Tejas has much better specifications than F16 , it’s much smaller and lighter if Tejas is equipped with AESA Radars and meteor missiles F16 will stand nowhere near Tejas

Which version of F16 is the question. Def mk1 IOC is not better and Foc version might equal the A version.

But I am not even comparing the two. It's a jest comment and learn to take it that way.

India,Russia to Launch New Brahmos Missile Capable of Downing Aircraft With AWACS System by 2024
The new missile will be used for destroying major aerial targets, while the previous versions were only capable of destroying targets on the ground or at sea.

Russia and India have adopted a plan for their joint BrahMos project, meant to create a new cruise missile capable of downing aircraft equipped with AWACS systems (an advanced Airborne early warning and control).

According to the Russian director of the venture, Alexander Maksichev, the missile will be ready for launch by 2024. He noted that it will have different target-seeking equipment but will use the same platform.

He previously said that the Indian light-weight fighter Tejas will be used as a carrier for the missile.

The BrahMos venture was established by Moscow and New Delhi in 1998 and develops hypersonic missiles —naval-, underwater-, shore-, and air-based. It has recently faced a major surge in demand, with an additional $1 billion increase in orders in six months since the beginning of the year despite the coronavirus pandemic.

We should compare Tejas with F16 , Gripen and Other similar aircrafts it will give us an idea about the capabilities of aircraft as well as the drawbacks

Fun fact:

IMG_20200917_073151.jpg

Notice the gap between the fuselage & splitter plate of Tejas. The boundary layer air gets divided into three sections. The section marked in black is pushed upwards to help create lift vortex. The one in white escapes below... But at the middle portion marked in violet the air enters the fuselage & cools the engine to escape from this gap & helps mask the IR signature from the jet exhaust.

So are the options that remain with us in a short and precise war with chinese ?

It is inevitable that if we down some planes, we will also lose some.

So only choice remains to buy planes from other countries airforces?
There is a thing called reserve or cold storage like USA have. We also have Mig 27 and recently retired few Migs in cold storage. In case of extreme they'll be brought back too. Once we have adequate number and more aircraft getting retired these storage will be replaced with them and old aircraft will be scrapped and parts used.

And we don't have such a dire situation right now Chinese planes lacks quality avionics radar etc . Besides few Sukhoi 35/30s j10s most of what they have is pretty mediocre . But they do have numbers.

DRDO was developing a dry engine for Jaguars
Pls give the link. HAL is developing HTFE 25. Had tested it's reheat section too in Sept 2019. HTFE25+Afterburner=HTFE40. HAL has developed HTFE 25 and Manik for drones n missiles. Regards HTFE40 it currently has no interest shown by IAF. As per HAL, they can deliver HTFE40 in 5 yrs if funds are provided for further development.
