Yes, Shivalik and Kolkata do not have mid-range SAM compare to 054A , don't mention 052CD with HQ-9 long range SAM.

You might require 50 Km SAM for your Ships to protect against incoming threats, we don't we have efficient system. With the crap of AShM that China has who needs a 50 Km SAM?

Also, if you conveniently forget this thread is about P-15A.

Also, HQ 16 has evolved from Shtil-1 system, which these frigates have.

For a ship with 4000 ton, and HQ-16 can do the job even not as good as HQ-10 in short-range.

Well how about 64 VLS Air-defence and 16 Anti Ship VLS upon the existing design...?

Nuclear powered Destroyer has its own advantage and Nuclear reactors will increase the tonnage ....... so if we go for the configuration you have suggested and Nuclear powered one the tonnage will be close to 10000 this estimation is with present existing technology.
