If India went for the Super Hornet they would all be flying now and more cheaper for the same bang or more for the buck. Perhaps India will already have a potent electronic warfare plane in Growler that would make Pakistan and China fear rscalating any tension with it.

It should extend well beyond 2022 then , till when they will deliver all rafales to us

Since the Rafale deal is already consummated I don't think the deliveries will be in peril more so that the contract deleted "corruption clause" as a ground for contract termination. But if the investigation finds criminal liability then some in the French side will be in serious legal trouble.
