Well still Rafale will probably be limited to 400 numbers afterall. You forget :
-Switzerland (I think it will be a rafale win).
-Not a penny on Finland deal.
-at least 36 more for India, and probably more (I always said the final figure will be between 72 and 150).
-Greece : it's not 12, it's 18. And Greece is already thinking for some more (and don't speak of F35...)
- Morocco : They need to rely on 2 suppliers, the Mirage F1 are old, and they need something to oppose to Algerian Su30
- Malaysia...
- UAE (same thing than Morocco : 2 suppliers....)
- Croatia
etc....
And a last batch for France, 30 units minimum (and probably some more) for a total of 210+ for France.
Rafale will fly along FCAS.Well still Rafale will probably be limited to 400 numbers afterall.
That begs the question of fcas which may see even less exports due to even higher costs.
It seems that Croatia may have selected the Rafale for it's fleet .....Rafale will fly along FCAS.
Why?
Because FCAS will be costly. So in limited numbers.
For all the other missions France forces will always need a more affordable bird (as Mirage 2000 fleet now, in low end solution, with Rafale in high end). This is why I think the next rafale batch for France will be higher than 30, or another batch after.
And there are some other mature prospects....
France : 210 already secured (180 inked, 30 more in the white book) and probably some more as a low or mid end solution to accompany FCAS
India : 72 to 150
Egypt : 54.
Qatar : 36
Greece : 18 to 48
Indonesia : 36
Morocco : 18 to 36
UAE : 36 to 60
Croatia : 12
Switzerland : 36.
Malaysia also in the pipe. Vietnam....
The final figure may fastly reach 520 to 670 units....
Tu me grilles toujours de quelques instants....The Croatian government has decided to buy 12 used French F3R Rafale fighter jets, Jutarnji list has learned unofficially
well-informed sources.
The decision should be made by the Government for Armed Forces Day. It is a twin-engine fighter plane and, as we find out,
the oldest plane that would be delivered to Croatia is 10 years old. According to available information,
Croatia would pay just under a billion euros for the entire package, which includes planes, training and weapons.
At today's session of the Defense Council, support was given to the Government for the purchase of a fighter jet.
President Zoran Milanovic in the Croatia barracks said a little later that the government had not been given a recommendation on what
type of aircraft to buy, but hoped "that he and the prime minister understood each other well".
Asked if he knew which plane we were buying, he replied "No comment".
After the official decision of the Government to accept the French offer, negotiations on the contract follow.
If the contract were signed this year, France would deliver the first six planes in 2024, and the remaining six a year later.
President Milanović, on the other hand, said that planes must be in Croatia by 2024 at the latest.
Arff j'ai été plus rapide que toiIt seems that Croatia may have selected the Rafale for it's fleet .....
