You want SSK, we gave SSK.
You want SSN tech, we gave it under the Rafale deal compensations.
Exactly we wanted an SSK with deep ToT, while we only wanted 36 off the shelf Rafales and you invent SSN ToT to it. :biggrin2:

The Merignac Rafale line is now at a 2/month rate.
because there are the rest of Egyp and Qatar orders to built.
And that's why there can't be any fast tracking, because French, Egyptian and Qatari orders came first.

Read my translation, WITHOUT INTERPRETATION.
Your translation is an interpretation, because you don't translate word for word.

Here is another translation =>

Do you agree with the translation? =>
"it was imperative and mandatory for Dassault-Aviation to accept this counterpart in order to obtain the RAFALE India export contract"

MMRCA 1.0 - if signed in 2015 with the standard 3 year delivery time line => first delivery of Rafale in 2018!!!
So why congress failed to sign 126 rafale deal ?

36 Rafale or EF deal signed in 2016 => first delivery in 2019
36 Rafale has been ordered. No Question of EF deal due blacklisting of Leonardo.

SE MMRCA issued in 2015 after canceling MMRCA 1.0 and without wasting time on 36 Rafales => signed in 2016 => first delivery in 2019
There was no RFP for SE MMRCA due to fear of single vendor situation.

There is no fast tracking in the 36 Rafale deal, because it's bound to the same standard delivery time line and the production capacity of Dassaults line.
The entire 36 Rafale deal was done in less than 2 years unlike MMRCA which went for 12 years without any conclusion.

It's nothing but a bad stop gap by the PM, that neither helps IAF, nor our industry.
Bad deal according to you & not IAF nor our industry.

IAF Air Marshal who led Rafale negotiations under UPA Govt now puts out sharp 10-point rebuttal to Congress over why the new deal is better.

INDIA HAD ALL THE CARDS TO ORDER BEFORE (before Egypian deal), WITH A HIGHWAY TO HAVE A NICE PRICE, HIGH TOT AND FAST DELIVERY.... INDIA GOVT FAILED, only because of a sterile HAL commitment.

Absolutely not. Prove it please ?

The core is translated by google translate, with some minor adjustements to fluidize the text.
the leaflet is mine, because specially in the CGT one, it's in bad french, with sentences without sens one versus another.

Try a translator on it, you will see.

It's one thing to built a noisy 8000 T SSN, spendind its time mainly on dock.
It's another to built a 4500T silent one, 200+ days/year on duty .....

You have 1960' SSN technic, copying and just improving old russian design.

Sorry, but it's the case.

Actually the French Subs are pretty useless apart from the boomers which in all certainty will never be used since you don't have any real enemy apart from hundreds of thousands of piss poor migrants bringing your once great culture to disgrace.

The Arihant Class and follow on vessels in it's class are cutting edge in terms of stealth features and are among the quietest subs in the world. They also fire more modern dual role tactical maneuvering missiles capable of hypersonic cruise of over Mach 7.5. K-15 & K-4 Class missiles due to their varied maneuvering trajectories cannot be intercepted by modern air defense systems. These missiles can be used in both conventional and non conventional roles. Shortly Brahmos-ER too will be integrated on newer subs, combine that with the P-8I, India's sub fleet becomes one of the deadliest in the world.

?
Useless, as all weapons when you don't need it. Sure our SSN are mainly useless to counter terrorism. But sometime they are used to deposit and take back some special forces in some terrorism friendly states...

Arihant : how many day per year under the sea ? How many day per year near the chinese borders? .

So he's questioning a Frenchman's understanding of HIS language based on some "translation" posted on an Indian twitter handle?

Smashing that.
No matter which language, understanding the matter is important before you fall into wrong conclusions.
In this case the marked parts of the documents.

The real problem is NATO, not China. WHy should India irritate China unnecessarily? The closest distance from China to Andaman & Nicobar Islands is 3500+ km in a one way trip. It is almost impossible to fight that far distance war in navy.

Also, SSN is not useful in delivering people over long areas as just 90-100 crew can be held in these SSN at once. Also, risking such an expensive asset for some minor operation is foolish. It is easier to send special forces as tourists and arrange weapons in other manner. India has all type of races of people - Africans, caucasians, chinese to send as tourists.

Wrong, Dassault blocked the negotiations, that's why India couldn't order Rafales earlier, because unlike Dassault, countries like the USE, Belgium or India in this case don't like OEMs to set up their own rules.

I AGREE !!!!
Thx, so we know that the documents once again confirm the wording of the earlier documents too.
And since the document is in context to the JV with Reliance, the mentioned "counterpart" has to be Reliance too right?

What's your point ?

Lockheed Martin - Tata JV
Boeing - Mahindra JV

Same rules apply to Dassault-Reliance JV no ?

We were speaking of SSN my dear. And specialy of a potential help in design from france.

I know nothing about SSBN? may be. But I know that your marvellous sub spent mainly its time on dock.
What is your own knowledge? So how quiet is you dock sub ?

The french SSN are the most used/year sub in the world. So you have a lot to learn from us.
