3 years for a brand new jet.

It is not a surprise that some FSO are not the "real one". There are two models. The old one and the upgraded one which come with F4-3ot hardware standard. In the new version, the IR sensor was abandonned, and he will be back in the F4 standard.
From outside, nothing is different between the two version of the osf, and the "growth" in which the IR sensor were placed is still there, replace by a dead weight in order to equilibrate the plane.

FSO are plug&play components, like Radar, antenna, pods, computing hardware components (like server blades) etc. So it is not a real surprise to see that some FSO are fake one to save money.
