I think should be noted that the J-20 is not very stealthy from behind, it’s possible that it’s identified when it’s turned around . Interestingly, Zhao Xia was a classmate of both Yang Wei (designer of J-10, J-20, etc.) and Tang Changhong (designer of Y-20 and JH-7A) . All three were in the "class of 5381" at Northwest Industrial University; that class was dubbed the best aviation class in history of china's . Yang Wei and Tang Changhong were also class mates. They know each time the Chinese export something sooner or later some revenue and profit will go to the Chinese military.

The answer is China has been allowed to follow into the trap, because the only two geostrategic rivals the USA has are China and Russia, and both have to be dealt, the trap is set, China will fall for it, and it will be crushed.

Not only they have more stealth aircraft. but they need a rival to justify spending in weapons but they need allow Chinese cockiness to re-direct Chinese anger towards Russia.
