If INSAS round is enuf for one shot one kill why does Army want 7.62x39? It doesnt give one shot two kills..
We dont use NATO 5.56mm anymore...

We use OFB 64gr 5.56mm FMJ from a 18.3 inch with 1 in 7.8inch rifle twist Heavy Barrel..

Projectile speed at 3050fps..

Hell Lethal in close so does long range, One shot one kill.. :cool2:

That is because INSAS back in those days use lighter NATO rounds, Links and details are posted in last few pages..

These high velocity rounds can shred level 4 BPJ at ranges of 200ms, All the data are provided above tyou do the math....

INSAS rounds can' pierce BPJ? I think they can get pass Level III

Kunal Sir, was there an issue with the INSAS where while firing in burst mode, it would go on full auto?? or something like that, heard a user saying a long time back though.....

Very early versions of INSAS 1B had such issues during Kargil war back in 1999, Now 2013 INSAS 1B1 improved has no such issues..

INSAS early 1B1 In Burst Mode >>

^^ One can adjust the gas regulator to increase rate of fire so does decrease the rate of fire, In this vid the rate of fire is decreased..

This Photo is for the basic Idea about how these two round look when placed together..

5.56x30mm is just 5.56x45mm just cut nearly half of 5.56x45mm..

@Kunal Biswas @sayareakd

can u guys post any pic of MINSAS 5.56x30mm ammo in comparison with 5.56x45mm ammo.
