Well, there it is guys, the OFB 7.62*51mm for army trials, whats your guys take on this?

That's the 7.62x39mm AK-103 clone, not chambered in 7.62x51mm.

Its seems that MK1C is re-chambered for 7.62X51mm ..

Its a different prototype than what i saw last time ..

Its MK1C which is probably in 7.62NATO ..

I think 9 kgs is too heavy for a LMG, even for 7.62 round. INSAS LMG was way lighter.

A more closer picture of the receiver may give more results ..

The Above one is AK-103 (Dunno Original or OFB-Made) and Bottom one is 7.62 x 51mm NATO Chambered Mk.1-C.It's obvious from magazine section that it is meant to hold bigger magazine i.e. bigger rounds than both 5.56 x 45 mm NATO and 7.62 x 39mm.
To me,it seems that they put an AK-103 for size comparison.

The bottom one is 7.62x51mm NATO and the upper one 7.62x39mm. You can tell from the larger and different magazine well sizes.

Actually yes a simple Magazine shape of both of these would have also clearly given away the difference..
The .308 would have been a lot striaghter and the 7.62x39 is obviously the curvy one.

7.62x51mm rifle is handed to Army already, But its a assumption by Mr Sengupta that its a based on Ghatak which is a 1B1 under AK skin ..
