That rifle resembles OICW and FN2000!
If DRDO is working based on these deigns, than its interesting..

But the need to work fast!!

Also i think DRDO meant by multicaliber weapon by using 40mm with 6.8mm,
Using all kinds of caliber in same gun doesn't make sense........

DRDO Rifle..

1. FN-2000
2. XM29 OICW

The rifle looks more like FN-2000 with 40mm GL..

Two general question.

1. If 6.8mm is claimed to be accomplishing 5.56mm and 7.62mm role then why this two caliber on single rifle?
2. What this larger and heavier bullet will achieve for XM29 OICW operator?

no idea rahul but i think with UBGL it should be 5.56, some thing like 10 and 20 mm UBGL. that will fit the gun.

hats off to you saya for your search. i never saw a rifle with a magazine like this. is this a new concept for magazines or just only for this rifle?

design matches with TAVOR except its magazine. But saya where`s the scope? or is it like Insas i.e. iron point sight?

Is it related to F-INSAS?

Gray color of UGBL is nice it would be good looking if this color is made standard on Rifle too. This multi color format gives INSAS IAR an old 70s 80s kind of look. Just for the shake of glamor one color should be adopted. But all my opinion.

I think that UBGL ought to be black in colour, that would match the barrel of the gun. Most assault rifles use the same colour as the barrel, looks better that way. My opinion though !

I know that the SPG uses the FN-P90, but haven't ever seen a pic of their personnel holding the P-90, does anybody have a pic for the same ? Will be glad, if somebody can upload it.

DRDO chaps need to really figure smthng serious with the colour scheme of our assault rifle they will shine like a rainbow with all these different colour atleast fr the sake of display they should paint it in a good scheme....in west the guns are usually painted throughout but we use camo clothing on our rifle to hide it..the orange colour was for reducing the heating of the gun based on ak..
