I hoped there would be completely different agency for HSR network completely devoid of any railway influences whatsoever not even railway babus on deputation must be allowed ,in doing so new hsr agency would be freed from all bad practices and work culture (and all those British era rules and shit) but babus influence is too great for things to go smooth.

A new organisation made for building/operating railways will always have deputations from IR. From where else will they find the relevant employees with the required skillset? IR babus/officers are after all extremely good technically. Only that the organisation is rotten.

That's why DMRC is so efficient even though it started with IR deputations. The metro man himself was an IRSE babu.

I'm sure NHSRCL will be well managed.

DMRC is indeed is good but it might be due to exceptional man know as shreedaran not becoz all babus are good(in part due to political meddling ).

Frankly I've lost hopes of any eco-friendly planned cities with robust infrastructure including extensive public transportation systems , planned paved roads , good sanitation & drainage systems , open spaces , extensive foliage etc leave aside other amenities like healthcare , education , etc in our existing metropolitan areas such as it exists in Mumbai , Delhi , Kolkata , Chennai , Bangalore , etc. till they depopulate

It's the emerging Tier 3 & 4 cities we can expect all the above from namely Indore , Surat , hopefully Pune etc .

What a fking disgrace this is. And this was built by L&T, the so called best construction company here. Look at the quality of this $20 billion project. Enough of this nonsense.... Someone needs to put these politicians, designers and construction company bosses and start h@nging them because nothing else will tame corruption that is at every single layer of construction, from the building materials themselves, to the DPR, actual construction etc. KCR's pet project btw. The sooner we fix this mess the better, because capex is only going up, and with this standard of pawjeet construction quality and maintenance, it is just a matter of time before a catastrophic mass casualty event occurs, on the same or bigger scale as the morbi bridge

If I'm not mistaken there's nothing to be developed in Bandra Reclamation unless they're reclaiming more land OR they're doing away with shanty towns by the Worli Bandra Expressway on the seashore , choc a bloc with peacefuls , who if rumours are to be believed include a sizeable chunk of rockybuls & redeveloping it.
