I think most people including myself have suppressed the memories of that era when their lot had free reign in the public sphere. It's reminders like these that put into perspective just how messed up the public discourse was in India at the time, and how it's a miracle we didn't go down the Venezuela route.

Is it possible that the higher quality images are taking time to arrive since this this the first craft in south pole so not many satellites looking there to continuously piggyback the data so they're sending in small packets when the satellites are making a favorable pass nearby?

A bit overdone. Nehru's contribution to many things was immense, ISRO among them.

Nehru's main contribution to India was only being the founding member of NAM and that's it.

And this is the reason why India still follows its own 'Strategic Autonomy' and not by being lackey of either West or Russia.

if we are gonna be serious about the space program (other than routine sat launches), then a prof PR agency is must. half the funding battle is public perception.
