Then they keep ordering Tanks which will never be used in numbers against china and against Pak that long war wouldnt happen...Any which way you dont need thousands of tanks.

The thinking before converting all units to SF was theaterization they wanted 2-3 units in each command with AFSOD as an SF command now the theaterization didn't happen we are stuck no theaterization= no SF command and everyone is scratching their hands and wondering wtf is going on rn

Nah, tanks are absolutely necessary in case of a full blown out war!! Why do you think the Ukrainians keep begging for more tanks and the Russians keep churning them out in their hundreds every month?? But those fucking Apaches? Those are a total waste of resources, which could have been used to completely revamp the entire SOF.

I've heard the main goal for that was theaterisation of commands. Every command has atleast three SF units, then some are attached to other places with A&NC or 50th Para brigade etc. Basically the Parachute regiment used to operate logistically around the country, now they will have the SF operate like that. We still have generals stuck in WW2 methods of war
