1 -A convoy should always have atleast 2 MRAP's like TATA QRFV providing security. If thts expensive then they can buy OFB Aditya which r fairly cheap.

2- They should stop using civilian vehicles like Gypsy and Scorpio and go fr Mahindra ALSV instead.

3- Armed Helcopter should always be on stand by to provide cover and works as intimidation tactic against jihadis.

4- Should have a rooftop HMG on every vehicle to provide cover fire

Here is good example of a Russian convoy in Syria. Indian army should watch and learn.

The rest of the world thinks only poor countries still send troops fr U.N missions like Nepal ,Bangladesh, Pakistan , India and China.
