I think MCF itself is a Tier 1 unit, yes they do have a counter terrorist standby unit like UKSF, they call it QRS 'Quick Reaction Section'

View attachment 245961 They do anti-hijack ops too, NSG is not enough because if anybody remembers the Achile Lauro incident, a hijacked cruise ship was docked in Egypt and the hostages were boarded into an aircraft, the SEAL Team Six operators having already done all the preperations, it was much easier to transport them by sea to Italy, since they were on standby in the Mediterranean. It's much more to do with logistics than with anything else, just like why the Navy has it's own fighter planes.

Yes still, NSG is the primer and only Anti-Hijack unit, apart from probably, SCTU which on one will mention because no one knows about. But NSG's domain is within the country and MARCOS have cross trained in case they are needed. Like if a situation arises where the Indian Navy is depoloyed they will send MARCOS since they are the quickest to be there. 70% of earth's surface is water.

counter hijacks matlab ship ke ander nehi, vo to abviously MARCOS ka domain hai, but referring to the pic I showed where the MARCO guys were standing next to an aircraft and if I'm not wrong they did anti hijack drill on that craft

1)what all stuffs will para sf get during their upgrade as it's going to happen according to few sources and that too through out the regiment
2)how many men are kept for airborne role or mandate within battalions of not who will perform those roles post conversion of entire regiment to sf
3)do para sf and Marcos share their kill houses or training spaces
4)does Garud have capabilities of cct jtac and tacp
5)has any of the sf got hands on drdo hand held sdrs

1. whats the barrel length of the arads that Marcos got
2. Are they(Paras/garud/marcos) considering any longer barrel + LPVOs stuff
3. Any plan of marcos to upgrade their snipers .
4, have marcos got their own aviation unit

1.) Any vague idea he has about how MARCOS are organzied, like Assault squadrons like in Delta and Team 6 or like SEAL Team 1, 2 ....
2.) What's the opinon of other SF units on the increase in size of Army SF ? What do the old units like 9, 10 , 1 think of it ?

they have a unit that flies for them, called MCF (Marine Commando Flight) or Zappers

1. PC, ACHs,bump & Ballistic Helmets, new handguns most likely, new Rifles and Carbines, RL Rifles, LM and FPV drones, Belgian Malinois, etc...

2. it was initially decided to have one company strength as the airborne elements but since now they are all SF, they have adopted the team setup, HQ+ Assault Team Alpha, Bravo& Charlie + Training Team Delta!
But now it is such that the whole unit can be airdropped as being converted to SF doesn't take away the airborne part! Plus Sf is all about versatility

3.3. nope, both have their repspectives kill houses and indoor shooting ranges!

4. Would be more than happy if they do a good job while defending airbase only, CCT JTAC and TACP not their thing at present!

2. 419mm is long enough, PARAs are more exited for carbines. Don't know about the superhuman GARUDS.

1. So sorry jedi bhai, not allowed to say anything in details. Can only say that they are a good, proffessional and small force)

2. Well the conversion of Airborne units was due anyways, it future every theatre will have 2-3 SF so the primary reason.

Personally this is so weird. They are now basically a specialised/special operations capable airborne unit rather than standalone special forces!

PARA SF have SDRs(in limited quantity) for almost 8 years now, comtacs are there since early 2000s...

ACHs and PCs will be standardlike, not sure about the battle belt.

Which should have been the case. By doing this they have diluted both their special operations as well as airborne capabilites! IA planners make no fuckin sense!
