In Sri Lanka, we lost a good bunch of officers, coz they LTTE snipers were specifically trained to grease the highest ranking officer, and work their way down the ranks (ironically by ourselves)
To the point that the officers would just rip away epaulettes and shoulder tabs in their uniforms and just carry a rucksack, hoping it would help

Its from exercises and not actual combat deployment tho it should not be there too.

These two locations are definitely not safe places to be ID’d as a senior officer. First pic is very much a public location in J&K and second one too is in J&K in the funeral of a martyr. Media is presence is definitely no guarantee of safety, in fact killing a senior officer in front of the media would be most terror groups wet dream.
