Lots of gurkhas in SAS and SBS. Commonwealth citizens can join the UK Military like any UK citizen. Some roles are closed off to them initially but they can go for any unit including the SOFs a few years into their enlistment.

Serving in a military unit is considered a profession so the Indian law bars mostly joining just the militant groups and sorts. As long as you're working with a legitimate authority, it's not considered illegal. That would otherwise make any Indian serving as an armed security in organisations like UN a criminal.
In my opinion , if PMC concept with advanced eqt supply pipeline and proper contractual roles in mind were introduced , then a lot could join them rather than army , ultimately relieving a little pressure on the size . Although we would lose the size advantage over china and US . Also it would be another way in which private industries could also grow by significant amount . Winning contracts for local or foreign internal defence , for training purposes or weapons supplies during wars . A lot of Ex Vets could also join such companies . They can also be used as Pseudo commando units since they aren't a part of armed forces nor CAPFs , their identities would be clandestined , their ops classified and their customers hidden . Also since the youths of India (motivated by war and gun games)would be encouraged to join them as they are pretty interested . This would create larger fields of employments and would also ensure govt contracts in times of distraught or conflict . Also if used for their training roles they could learn from international companies such asTriple Canopies , Academi , Unity resources group etc and teach it to us . Just on the lines of harifoxtrot_21 or combat kali official, who provide weapons handling as well h2h combat training

i disagree
I beg to differ , but no , there is a unique pattern of molle in armasen , which only armasen incorporates
Again, i dont think its made by crye but irs definitely a copy, we will see in the future.
I don’t know whose PC that is, but that’s definitely not a Crye copy, the pattern is completely different and it’s a Square Cut Plate carrier which Crye does not offer.

Just because you don't know that does not mean it does not exist, Linguistic Skills take a important role along with the Cultural Part not just in SF but also in the regular units deployed on the front line.

FID isn't just linguistic skills and teaching people how to shoot. It's an extremely complex role that requires operators to be trained and educated in advisory as well as managing militias in combating or even overthrowing entire governments. That means logistics, planning and sustaining operations, making strategic level decisions, Key leader engagements/PR etc. It's not something an operator can just "pick up" like a hobby in their free time, it requires extensive dedicated training that culminates in an extremely accurate simulation.

We have had the capability back in late 1980s its not like we changed a lot, so no way we let go of that capability.
