Para sf needs to get rid of old OFB square plates and get some modern plates..alot of Indian companies like MKU make some very good plates.

Some have Exfil helmets, some have Patka, some have MKU. Various forms of woodland camos, some aren't even wearing camos, one guy's wearing the chocolate chips 10th para uses in the desert.
The BPJs are all different on different guys too.
We finally seem to be getting on track (very slow as it may be) but still, it will take a LONG time till we get to a point where we can conclusively claim our guys are now "world class".

oh yeah , standardisation is a problem across our SFs . MoD needs to take note

True but the original point from where it started wasnt correct, That was an exaggeration

By our region's standard or the western standard?
Regional, yes, that's an exaggeration.
Western, no. Your average western infantry has better gear most of the time.
With the number of men our army brings to fore, it's nigh impossible to equip all of them at the level of say... USA's infantry but at least our SOF can be equipped on par if not better.

Western, no. Your average western infantry has better gear most of the time.

I dont disagree with the statement but there are only few Countries who can flush so much money, Even by Global Standards (If you exclude some NATO nations) it was exaggeration.

Do para sf use sop-mod block 1 or 2 and also which unit does these dbal's belong to and are they better than peq-2 (I hope so)? Also, I have been seeing a lot more m4s and weapons with decent-looking light and hcbh and decent PCs, what is up with that?

Block 1 and yes the DBALs are better than the AN PEQ/2, Weapons are individual choices from the Armoury which they choose before the operations. HCBH were delivered by Tonbo along with the Thermal Sights(The Helmets are Exfil series from Team Wendys) , Plates Carriers unit level purchase along with unit made.
