Completely agree. We already have a 762 AR jn thr SIG. Why can't the Paras get their quater masters to mod/customize them ? Triggers barells etc. What js the delta jn recoil ? How much of the recoil actually degrade capabilities of an SF trained solider (keep in mind these guys are already used to shootijf AK varients very accurately)

Even in the video ex seal says scar h can only be used for long range engagements. clearing rooms and close range is not recomendable so a few sig716 with scopes can do this to para sf but they still want that belgian lemon rifle

Knowning what the Chinese were doing was Intel. Taking a command decision to run up the mountain first was done by the local Area CO.

A whole host of units in India could have done that
(PS my understanding was that the SFF was the primary mover up their)

This is basic soldiering centered around physical fitness, mountaineering training and acclimatization. Which by now I would expect the bulk of the Indian army to be better than the Chinese at.

Not talking about Southern Bank operation. This is in Northern Bank of Pangong Tso. Details are not completely out, but 9 Para were helidropped and created alternate route to Finger 7(at a higher range overlooking F4) via Gogra. Cheenis were totally caught by surprise. He is a quite old guy currently above 85 he retired frm army at 1976 he was a prisoner at 1962 war in China , had a marron bare , fought in mukti wahini, also fought in capturing goa frm Portugese , knew Sam Manekshaw very well along with general up close like S.F.Rodrigues .
