"Don't know"
You mean?
Kek, sab kaam khuda mere se hi kyu karvaate hain
For multi-theater warfare education and experience and joint operability with higher experienced units like Marcos , RR , Para in the frontline/conflict zones . Also attempting to actually stand up to its Spec Ops status rather than being Specially Trained Security Guards and Instagram models . Pretty decent attempt actually. Should give atleast a basic viewpoint on their future operational mandates and prep them for better roles . But they're far less experienced .

Why do they need to censor their face/identity in non-hostile areas ?
Why won't they . These rescue units consisted of Spec Ops personnel . Why not ? does being in the South mean that they are absolutely free from danger . Then why did major terror incidents take place in the Southern Indian Regions ? Their personal information ,their face identity , a lot can be breached . Why take such risks

Its just a mere rescue ops.troops would always cover their face if the need arise and this picture has been even shown in the media

Because the next place might not be non hostile.
Yeah, so they do cover their faces/identity in hostile areas, or during operations.

honey traps or smthing, god knows how many isi spies are in our country and army
Long shot. It is rather easy to identify soldiers, especially since armed forces personnel generally roam in uniforms around their home bases.

I think the main motive of covering the faces is so that terrorists/hostile elements can't do revenge attacks on soldiers. This is especially valid when soldiers are living among a hostile population (i.e., Kashmir, Nagaland), not so much in peacetime areas.

I was just about to say this . Are NSG considering an expansion in their roles? They might've been bored since no major CT cases have been observed recently in their Area of Operation . But seriously are they considering an anti-naxalite warfare unit or something
I don’t think so. There was a report a few years back saying NSG were to start training in areas that were effected by LWE in case they have to do a hostage rescue or CT op in the jungles so I guess this is a regular thing they do but they are expanding the specialisation.

they don’t even that the manpower to spare to get into anti-naxal Ops if they wanted
