the large portion of our entire defense budget goes into salaries and pension, and very little amount of money allotted for Modernization, and most of the stuffs IA operates take lot of money for maintenance

so no wonder here, the basement got lot of termites

They don't have a variety of small arms, AK103s and Tavors mostly (a very few m16s in the past too)
{nvgs have an immersion rating, the one marcos has is rated for maximum depth of 66′ for 2 Hours }

No it's not. Infact as a % of Budget our def exp is on the higher side.

Spending on education and healthcare is as much as national security requirement than the military. Just look at the shere number of people who died in Covid for no other reason other than shit healthcare infrastructure. Better healthcare means less drain on the economy.

You want to improve def budget. Increase our GDP. You do that by bettering our absolutely shit education system.

But first we have to make the Army a fighting army for 2021 and not WWII. The shere amount of wasteful expenditure on non combat items and non combat salaries is mind boggling. Not to mention waste of money even when buying combat equipment. Just look at our small arms purchase for example. Every combat arm has such an example.
