There are regular infantry, mechanised infantry and Ghataks of the infantry. Refer to post 9370 @Scramjet says they are para, I’m not familiar with that epaulatte.

They're ACHs not mukuts and the pic is from Yudh Abhyas 20

The guys doing room clearing are clearly PARAs based on the epaulettes and badge attachment points.

Yeah Indian army’s most elite are present at INDRA-21 in large numbers

Seems they took some fluorescent orange AKs with them too

The fact that Russia doesn’t send their elite units to train with PARA (SF) tells you all you need to know

Look in all the pictures of INDRA-21, all the AKs used by the Russians are uniform all black AK-103s (I think) whilst the Indian side has a mix of fixed butt, wire side swing etc and they are a mix of old wood furniture and florescent orange painted- that just screams IA (pretty much how they run in RR)

Don’t think Russian made AKs have the wire stock, if I’m not wrong Romanian and Polish AKs have them, many pics are there of them with INSAS and INSAS LMGs.

Yes the models are infact a mixture of german mps kmi 72 and pm md 90 of romanian origin, i just wasn't sure about who brought those rifles with them.
