It would be safe to say that a new age of NVG's have dawned upon us. This is unlike anything we have seen before and truly a class apart from everything else.
And these are for regular infantry. By the 2011 Abbotabad raid, PNVGs were already a reliable system in JSOC...imagine what they've been using in the 10 years since that we don't know about.

India’s Tonbo imaging working on this since 2014
Yes its the same general concept, but what's happening in ENVG is more than fusion of image output, its using onboard software advanced enough that its able to identify outlines of objects and personnel on the fly, aiding rapid target engagement.

The outlining is not even dependent on body heat and it manages to identify even the radio antennas without ever confusing them with the background or just any moving thing. That's a result of software taught by advanced machine learning.

Dual nods in 1st pic, voh bhi itne saare
If this is being adopted by the Navy then we can expect the army and airforce to go down the same route sooner or later.

As always the Navy continues to be the first to adopt modern technologies and tactics when compared to other services.

Hats off to their good work.

The fact that their is a uniformity in equipment to the smallest device( the battery packs ) seems to suggest a much wider adoption rather than a small purchase trial purchase.

Generally we see a few solo tacticool images but the pictures during ops remain the same with little changes.

It seems to be the complete opposite here where the adoption seems to be on a much wider scale.

Final product
Such a shame that despite being a 60 yr old lab IRDE couldn't even develop a decent compact thermal imager. They should be ashamed of themselves that despite burning hundreds of crores every year they are behind a 12 yr old private company. This is what happens when u hire reserved people.

Would humanoid graffitis and decoys fuck with their software?

Edit: Don't laugh, I'm just trying to pick holes in the system and am absolutely illiterate in anything computer related. :3

Could not find suitable thread to post it, but the general sense and trigger discipline and weapon holding is something that is seriously lacking in common Indian soldiers!!! things get real interesting after 18.++ minutes!!!( ref-attached video)

most mind boggling is, a part of soldiers who happens to be female( woman) says that we are superior than our counterparts!!( 'male'--- sounds kinda sexist though) while major Arya asks her to point the gun toward somewhere except his face while having a chat with him!!!! though sense is absent in both the sexes!!! kinda scary scene.

What's your take please.
Is there any plan to replace BSF weapons and standardise some shit? I see some with INSAS, some with Beretta some with AKs (trillions of varieties among them) and X-95s. Why not standardise some shit and give them modern training not some namesake only training.

Will units like bsf, itbp, ssb, assam rifles be part of the theatre commands?

This superior than male propoganda is to make them feel better.

I think it was a OTA documentary i saw where they were carrying Dummy RLs for cross country and i was thinking can they finish the cross country if the dummies are replaced by actual RL and its rounds.

Recently we saw a madam aiming with the gun right next to her eyes.

Then we have non sf branches having no idea about modern pistol shooting techniques.

I am yet to see even Ghataks do a CQB drill with sling not falling on the floor.

Our shooting techniques and weapons handling is quite poor.

I can bet and say if we send a guy with normal aptitude to Thailand for a week of paid shooting course which is available to civilians he will return handling the gun better than 99% of everyday pics we see from Kashmir.

This is OT but why are you flamebaiting here? Can you give the specific timestamp where she said that they are better than boys?
Cuz after 18+ mins, two women soldier are introduced and only thing she answers to the question about type of training was :
> Similar training as it is for boys
No way she said that they are any better.
Where did major say that point the gun somewhere else? Give timestamp.

And almost major chunk of the 5 mins, only once at the end you can see lapses in trigger discipline but on close watch it was not the case either.

You are posting it in unrelated thread with no proof just flamebaiting users.

That's because it's mounted on the helmet
It appears bigger because it's closer to the camera as compared to his head
For example:
Compare this

And this

.
.
The difference is slight, but it's still there....
